I totally agree. looks like a cheap soft drink company logo. and seriously thats the best font they could come up with? it says Thunder in simple white text.

I liked the Black Red and Gold logo that was posted here... It was different from all the rest...

GODAWFUL!!! Can't believe that logo and color scheme was approved! Isn't the goal to sell jerseys and other stuff? This is a damn shame, they got ridd of the Sonics for this mess?? Franchise will be on the move again in like 4 to 5 years, management is a joke.

So I was wrong. The logotype combinations are terrible, and I don't understand the connection with the logo and "Thunder." It has no meaning other than being a basketball in a shield with a couple swooshes.

I still find it very plain, very generic. I could see them updating it within a few years.

even like a hammer of thor could be made into thunder...gotta say i have no artistic ability and coulda done better than this. However Thunder is a sorta of abstract concept. Its a sound wave so how do you make a visual representation of that?
