Jamaal Magloire to Sign with the HEAT

I say good pick-up, despite at Jamaal falling, remember last year, when we was expecting more from him in NJ...didnt work out how it used to be planned, but oh well, at least the HEAT got a center, lol.

Havent seen him playing on a high level for a long time. Considering his name and his early years achievements a good pick up, but right about now I am not too sure about him.

Good no-look dunker though :)

He's been garbage for many, many years now. No team wants him, and the teams that did, end up giving him little playing time. Might be his attitude or work ethic, but it's unlikely he's going to make an impact.

Give him a chance!!! He was a fringe all-star back when the Hornets were in the East, and he's always been stuck low in the rotation. Now that it is just him and Blount, I think he'll surprise people at how serviceable he still can be. Good pick up. Until Benji comes and tells me that even in his all-star season, he sucked for some reason, I believe this is a great acquisition.

I remember a few years ago everyone who was a Toronto Raptors fan was on the "SIGN MAGLOIRE" bandwagon. So much for that.

Yeah, the dumbasses LOL. Leo Rautins was beggin him to play for Canada too . . .Don't know why. He ain't that much of an impact player

LOL, he had a negative PER this past season. However, Magloire has really been a victim of little playing time. He has only had one "bad" season where he played all 82 games (2006 in Milwaukee), but being at a prime age, and Mark Blount being the only other Center, I could see him having another 2004 season.

Quote me next summer: Jamaal Magloire will be a great acquisition.

Quote me as well: Magloire sucks balls and has no motivation to be even a solid player.

He was given a lot of chances as far as I'm concerned. Hell, even in New Jersey, he was competing against Jason Collins, and somehow two rookies, Josh Boone and Sean Williams got more playing time. I think Magloire's run out of excuses.

Well, it's not like the Heat have a whole lot of vastly superior options at centre. Mourning is supposedly mulling the possibility of giving it one more shot (but is a free agent anyway), aside from him they've got Earl Barron (also a free agent), Mark Blount and Joel Anthony. They could do worse and it would seem he's signing for the veteran's minimum so it's a decent short term signing. If it doesn't pan out he'll be gone in a year, if not sooner.

Being a top 5 pick, and/or being an all-star at some point gives you unlimited chances. Look at how much Kwame and Darko have made.

Earl Barron recently signed a contract in Europe as well. (The Euroleague is stealing all our bad players! And Josh Childress)

Look out eastern conference

Considering the heat now. Any player is better than what they had before. Except Wade and the good old 06 champions.

Mon Sep 01, 2008 8:53 am

Magloire is not better. Lateral move at BEST

Your just a hater, that's all.
