Lamrock wrote:Dynasties on the second page and beyond got generally overlooked. Maree's dynasty wasn't great, but had nearly 200 replies, and was better than some, but got 0 votes. Looser's 6 came from one person. Skill's however, was all foreplay as well, since he played what, two games? It was decent and all (would have been my 6th place vote), but sadly it was a victim of so many of the judges being newer members.

Cool Cat, KobeBryant24 and blahblah =

I would say that Andrew dynasty has been overlooked as well.

Congrats on the top 3 dynasty winners, you deserved it. Lol at some of the new members dynasty.

Actually, Andrew did not qualify due to his dynasty being primarily during the 2005-06 dynasty season.

Oh, sorry for being stupid enough for not reading the rules, but if all year season applies, Andrew would qualify right? Congrats lamrock for being bronze medal by the way. I should have voted

Lol, funny how I still got votes for my Blazers dynasty when the voting began right after it crashed. Anyway, congrats to the top 3! The top 5 panned out exactly the way I voted, haha. (OFF TOPIC: By the way, what's with the google ads?)

A bit off-topic, but I didn't want to create a new thread, and this is about ranking dynasties.

I devised a very simplistic method of rating dynasties. Obviously, it is flawed, and pertains to things I value in dynasties, but I nonetheless found it to be pretty accurate in its correlation with how the dynasty of the year voting went. Here is the scoring system:

40 - Enjoyability (How fun a read it is)
25 - Presentation (How good it looks)
15 - Realism (self-explanatory, really)
15 - Longevity/Consistency (Clutch and Chaser get 15/15 here)
5 - Interactivity (Disputable whether it should be a category, but its only worth 5 points. Player cameos, and prediction games here)

Obviously, the ratings tend to intertwine with each other. In theory, a dynasty could have a prediction game, be exactly like the real NBA, be beautiful and have a gripping story, but only go for one post. Rather than scoring an 85, the lack of longevity would drag everything else down.

For example, I would give my own dynasty (not biased at all, heh) these ratings:

E: 30, P: 20, R: 9, L: 13, I: 5, Total: 77/100

A higher scoring dynasty would be The X's Bobcats.

E: 40, P: 24, R: 14, L: 14, I: 5, Total: 97/100

Kind of a pointless, long-winded post (I know I need to get a life), but it could be cool to have a dynasty scoring system. (Don't worry, unless you want me to, I won't go into your dynasty thread and rate it)

Whaaat...

How am I only seeing this for the first time now? I always wondered what Lamrock was talking about when he said he had the third best dynasty. (Though I do not disagree with the decision, I really liked your dynasty, as you probably know.) Anyways, it's kind of late, but thanks to every that voted for me. I'm glad people enjoyed it. I think I had a really good concept and the designs were nice, but outside of that... It wasn't too good. If I would have another go at a dynasty, I'd do it a lot differently.

Congrat's to everyone who received votes.
Thanks again.
