10 Most Useless Divas In WWE History

Not a bad read and good picks for the most part, but the reason for Cherry's inclusion strikes me as a bit odd.

We just discussed Cherry above. We're a little mesmerized by that dress because it's absurd -- can you imagine actually going to a seamstress and asking them to show in pocket deuces and a couple of dominoes? And why was Cherry wearing roller skates? Had she come out of a time machine from the 50's? Was she a film noir nostalgist? There were plenty of places to go with her character, but WWE didn't bother.

I mean, wasn't that the whole point of the whole greaser gimmick, that they dressed and acted like they were in the 50s (but weren't actually from the 50s)? It's not a very difficult concept to understand.

Krissy Eubanks

On October 10, 2007, Krissy Vaine left the company, along with boyfriend Ryan O'Reilly, because the two had heard rumors they'd be placed on different shows, which would prevent them from seeing each other during the week.

Love is stupid, everyone.

I remember that, good luck to her ever making it back to the WWE. One can see their side of things but talk about blowing the opportunity of a lifetime.

Mon Aug 25, 2008 7:54 pm

Speaking of going back to WWE. Looks like Gail Kim will be returning after having disputes with TNA. Rumors of Steve Austin and Goldberg going back to wrestling as well.

Tue Aug 26, 2008 10:31 am

I don't know about Stone Cold wrestling but he's apparently been confirmed for Cyber Sunday. I read the reports on Goldberg's possible return, apparently it won't be for WWE or TNA. I wouldn't think any of the indys could meet his price so perhaps he'll be going to Japan.

Tue Aug 26, 2008 4:09 pm

Yeah, I know Stone Cold cant wrestle with that neck of his but I read somewhere that he wants to put on a decent match on Wrestlemania 25. But they are all rumors anyway.I doubt that will be happening.

Goldberg is only fun to watch because of the novelty that he is Goldberg.

Tue Aug 26, 2008 4:21 pm

Even Gilberg does a better entrance than Goldberg.

Tue Aug 26, 2008 4:44 pm

Damn, I want Goldberg to be back in the WWE. One of my favorite wrestlers.

John Cena suffered a herniated disk on his neck and will not be able to join the Championship Scramble. I hope he recovers quickly from the injury.

Also, Rey Mysterio will return on Unforgiven. I haven't seen him wrestle for a long time and I wonder if he still have the quickness? :?

Tue Aug 26, 2008 10:20 pm

I read that too. I know a lot of people don't like Cena or the way he's booked but given the severity of the injury and its potential repercussions I certainly hope no one is celebrating the news. Here's hoping he makes a full recovery and suffers no lasting effects.

Wed Aug 27, 2008 1:10 am

So if Mysterio is returning on Unforgiven, I think he will be the one replacing Cena, opening up a feud with Kane.

Wed Aug 27, 2008 10:52 am

Yeah he's been named as Cena's replacement.

Tue Sep 02, 2008 6:59 pm

I picked up the new Ric Flair DVD, it's a pretty good production. It includes all the off air stuff from his farewell address on RAW where Taker and Vince came out after the broadcast ended and paid their respects.

Wed Sep 03, 2008 6:40 am

so ive been watching wwe a little bit in the last week simply because it was on late and i had nothing better to do.

i tihnk the john cena thing might be a reason to get him away from action awhile so he can do another movie or something.

and the whole HBK/Y2J thing is interesting. in the past, i've been a fan of HBK but this time he seems really old and not like his younger self. despite him being the face in the story, I tend to side with Chris Jericho who I'm also a fan of.

Wed Sep 03, 2008 7:00 am

So you think they actually 'faked' all the information with Cena's succesful surgery?
Would be pretty lame. I think the injury was serious this time, although it came out of nowhere.

Anyway, good to see Mysterio back, kinda weird though. There was no reason not to compete in the (meaningless) Battle Royal, because if he returnes and proves Kane wrong before or after the match is quite equal.
Guess they wanted to shock everybody as he didn't come to compete in the Battle Royal.

Heading to Unforgiven, I think a title change is very possible in every brand's respective Scramble. Oubviously I think they will change at least one title, perhaps even two, as they were talking all night about the 20% chance of the Champ to retain, blabla ..
I wouldn't be surprised if Batista and Matt Hardy would win their matches.

All I hope is that it won't be boring since it's the same match type three times that night.

Wed Sep 03, 2008 8:35 am

well im not sure but just the way it happened (writing him out after a huge PPV) it seemed very convenient. plus, they are professionals. sometimes injuries do happen but for the most part, they know how to land and all that so to me it seems like it was part of the story to write him out (and to start a feud between Kane & Rey)

that's why they stopped doing piledrivers because it was so dangerous and there arent many good places to land upside down like that. See: Owen Hart v Stone Cold.

Wed Sep 03, 2008 8:17 pm

None of the insider reports suggest that Cena's injury is a work, I believe he was shooting another movie earlier this year but as far as I've read the injury is legit.

I don't see HHH losing the WWE title, maybe on an interim basis during the Smackdown Scramble match but I think he'll walk out as the recognised champion. I too think Matt Hardy will take the ECW title after being screwed at Summerslam and again on TV and it wouldn't be surprising if Punk's reign ended as well. Difficult to know where they'll go with Punk after that, I suppose the upper midcard makes the most sense but the lack of a buildup might make it difficult to keep him hanging around the main event even with a couple of credible wins during his reign.

Thu Sep 04, 2008 1:11 am

Agreed especially on the Smackdown side of things. I'm seeing another Undertaker "crawl-up-the-ladder-and-win-on-Wrestlemania" storyline here. I hope to see an Undertaker-HHH feud (most unlikely) for the title.

While on Raw, all contenders are on the main event-level (except for JBL perhaps) so I think we will be seeing a title change.

After seeing SummerSlam 2 weeks ago, I noticed that the new ECW belt seems bigger than both WWE and WHC belts. Or is it just me again? :?

Thu Sep 04, 2008 11:48 am

Yeah that's been hinted at. I'd like to see them go through with an extended reign for Taker before he hangs it up. And what better way to get rid of that belt design? ;)

Also, it would seem it's only a matter of time before Mick Foley's TNA debut.

Fri Sep 05, 2008 12:32 am

Sucks, so that really means that Foley had a contract with TNA?

Damn the WWE is getting smaller and smaller roster-wise.

Fri Sep 05, 2008 12:35 am

Yep, WWE has confirmed his departure. Apparently he wasn't really satisfied in his role and wasn't happy that he was being fed lines during matches. A shame to see him go but I'd say we'll see him in WWE again one day after he's finished with TNA, if only for the odd appearance here and there.
Y2J World Heavyweight Champ!
Mon Sep 08, 2008 1:54 pm

Not a bad decision but reading the recap the way it came about was very oddly booked. Seems like they dropped the ball big time with the Scramble concept.

Tue Sep 09, 2008 4:35 am

Jericho being World Heavyweight Champion again isn't too bad, I like it.
But the way how they did it, horrible. CM Punk got punted and attacked, yet he's out of the match. Jericho gets slautered for ~30 minutes and he replaces him. (<- sorry for that smiley)
And it was so obvious that he would win it when he walked in.

But I like how this opens up a big feud between Punk and Orton.

And LOL at Jeff Hardy. At the WWE CHampionship Scramble, Hardy was champion with like 5 seconds to go, Triple H hits a pedigree on Kendrick and what does Jeff Hardy do? He watches him. I mean all day you've seen how they just jump on somebody to break up the count. Now instead of going to break it up he tries a desperate pin on Benjamin, but the way to Benjamin and HHH was practically the same. Time expired and HHH won.
Jeff shouldn't have gotten up, it would have looked a whole lot better.

I don't like Big Show turning heel. Haha, he always laughs and waves to the crowd, I can't even imagine him being a heel any more.
