How do u download patches for nba live 08 on windows vista? im new here so i dont get it. thanks

It doesn't differ on the systems. Just download the patch you want and put it into your "xxx/NBA Live 08/sgsm" folder

that's it? then i play 08? cause when i played it no rosters were updated.

If you downloaded a roster patch first extract the folder (with .dbf files inside) to this directory:

My Documents -> NBA Live 08 -> saves

Then launch the game, go to:

Options -> Load/Save

Choose the roster you just installed and click "load file".

That's it.

Note that it won't affect a Dynasty game already in progress.

That's right, but you can always start a new dynasty. Be sure to turn 07 draft off if you don't want to play on default rosters again though.

Is there any way to edit the roster that is used when you select the NBA Draft option?

You can try to copy all the files from the roster that you're using into original database folder, replacing the default ones, but I'm not sure if it will work and make a backup before doing it.

Copy the files into:

My Documents -> NBA Live 08 -> database -> originaldb

Yes, There is no different of XP or Vista.
