PS2 2k8 Created players

i was bored one day so i decided to create certain missing players and the rookies from the 08 draft class. As i've been playing with the created players i noticed that they seem to never averge over 9 points or 9 rebs, but the ast total are like 10+ for the guards. This occurs in both the season and association. Is there anyway to reslove this problem?

I have no idea what's going on, maybe just try put their (scoring)ratings extremely high and look if it still occurs
