how can you sign a free agent on the USA team

Is it possible to assign Free agents to the USA team without editing their DBFs?

I don't think so. Only way to add players to other team that 30 NBA teams is through dbf editing.

Correct, DBF editing is the only way which means it's only an option on the PC.
