Well, better four months late than never. Vote for the best dynasty thread from this year! Sure, you could determine this by number of replies and/or views, but this is the member's choice awards. The winner gets well... the ability to say he has the Dynasty of the Year and put it in his topic. And of course a cookie.

Yes, I know the last two topics have been in the Live 06 and Live 07 Dynasty forums, but because people who read dynasties go to the dynasty thread, I believe that it belongs here. You can move this if you want, but I know that there will be at least twice as many votes in this forum.

How it works:

* Votes will be sent to me via PM
* Can cast vote for dynasties primarily active during the Live 08 era (Andrew, anubisak have the only active ineligible dynasties)
* You can vote for five dynasties, with point distribution as follows:
1st: 10 points
2nd: 6 points
3rd: 4 points
4th: 2 points
5th: 1 point
* Though it is recommended, you do not need to vote for 5 dynasties.
* You may change your vote at any time before the August 25 deadline
* You can't vote for your own dynasty.
* You may not vote for 2K Associations.
* Voting ends August 25.
* Recognition awarded to 1st (gold), 2nd (silver) and 3rd (bronze place dynasties.

Rules updated, in case anyone wants to adjust their vote accordingly. Also, I was thinking about upgrading the 3rd place points from 3 to 4. The drop off from 2nd to 3rd is pretty steep, and it would make more sense IMO to have it 4 points. It is a small change, that won't really affect the scores in the grand scheme of things, but at this point just seems more logical. Give your input.

And for any other noobs with dynasties, I just joined this site one year ago and my initially dynasty was a 1 paragraph summary of my 82-0 Warriors on PSP, filled with typos and slang. I deleted it because I got no replies (no surprise) and now I see too many of these now. Guys, c'mon put some effort into dynasties its really not that hard. Stop posting dynasties with pictures that aren't properly resized, no rich text, and littered with typos and internet slang.

Plus everyone really needs to stop doing these Behind the Scenes shit unless you are near fluent in English. I mean c'mon, they didn't used to be part of dynasties, you don't need them! Without being able to speak english fluently your story will naturally suffer. Focus on something else. Looser and Pursuer had very good dynasties and neither of them are exceptional english speakers (no offense guys, I mean you guys aren't bad, but there definitely is room for improvement).

And Oskar, stop bitching about your dynasty being more recognized, every time someone mentions good dynasties and yours isn't included you always point it out. There may be a reason for this.

Good acceptance speech there Chaser. I agree that there are too many noob dynasties here, although this year's batch has been a bit better than last year's pool of mediocrity. I hope you continue yours, despite the one paragraph retard posts and the new dynasty every day people that roam the section.

And Oskar, sorry but your dynasty is not good. It is unoriginal, uninteresting and the writing does not make sense. All 6 points were people adding you as a 5th place vote, since it was the only other active dynasty they could think of, and they needed to fill their ballot. Spend less time advertising and bitching about your dynasty, and spend more time making it worth reading.

Anyway, we are getting off topic, and I don't want it to be an Oskar vs. Lamrock flame war. Congrats Chaser!

Congrats Chaser! You really deserve it... And man a 4th Place finish is a great achievement for me.. Just to be following the dynasties of chaser, clutch and lamrock is an honor for me.. Thanks for everyone who voted for me..

I added on to what I wrote in my previous post. But I'm a bit surprised that Skillmatic did so poorly, he definitely did better than some of the people ahead of him, but I guess since he had to retire early people forgot about it...

Dynasties on the second page and beyond got generally overlooked. Maree's dynasty wasn't great, but had nearly 200 replies, and was better than some, but got 0 votes. Looser's 6 came from one person. Skill's however, was all foreplay as well, since he played what, two games? It was decent and all (would have been my 6th place vote), but sadly it was a victim of so many of the judges being newer members.
