That looks delicious (although still very 2K-y in its quirks), but did that guy really not have to practice his speech a few times beforehand?

gameplay looks pretty good for the most part. i especially liked the signature shots and the signature free throw of KG. they were spot on.

I thought they improved the graphics alot when looking at the KG renders, but by judging those screenshots, it doesn't look like there are alot of improvements.

I am not going to enjoy it if the cpu still makes those bullet backdoor passes.

Yea the only real major problem I have with the gameplay now is the outrageous passes the CPU pulls off, and from that backdoor pass in the video it doesn't look like it's fixed, dammit.

Graphics do look good though, and Cheryl sounds sweet as a sideline reporter, so much better than good ol Craig. But they got the new commentators to say the exact line that's already in the game. Like new people, same lines? really? (the mid range shot comment after Pierce makes his shot).

Either way I'll probably buy it still.

That was a leaked video of E3 2008 2k9 demo which was built in around april so it's about 2/5 done.

Yeah ok it was video of a build 3 months pre release but still looked scrappy and jerky with the players sliding still going on. To me Live 09 is looking far better and appealing at this point it looks smoother no sliding and players don't look so stiff or have a telephone pole up their ass as they appear to have in 2k9. The player crossovers where they have bumped into another player but still have the walking motion like it was an old school rpg game character walking into walls looks a bit dodge. Only positives I really saw was the crowd swinging towel and shirts in the air and the foam fingers the other was the cutscenes for timeouts and quarter time. I did however hate Odoms caveman brow during you see him have as he walks off the court looking up during the quarter time cutscene.

I have to admit, the game looked good, they looked like they added some push in thier run. cause last year when you press the Turbo button, they don't even move lol!!!

Greatly disagree. I can understand why people like the 2k games, but I just plain do not like them, they aren't fun for me. I'm not saying (other than my personal opinion) that Live is better than 2k but I won't be getting 2k9 until I see it at the 30 dollar price point whereas 09 will be a first day purchase without a doubt.

I agree with Jao. I like 2K alright, but if it weren't for the fact that next-gen 07 was unplayable, and that 2K7 was a pack-in with my 360, it wouldn't have been my game of choice last year. Sure, 2K is a better game, but I get more enjoyment out of Live's arcadey gameplay.

I own both 2k8 and Live o8 for the 360. So what If I want to buy Live. I didn't buy 06 and 07, so how did EA screw me over and over? I do my research before I buy anything. So I could care less of what a 2k fanboy says. REGARDLESS. . .I will own both games this year too
