That said though I don't expect to see Live PC making a return since 90% of people that would buy it live in the US, where consoles are selling too damn well.

Peter Moore has seemingly already confirmed a return to the PC next year. There definitely won't be a PC version of NBA Live 09 though.

Well, i suspect we'll see a return to the PC with some new controlling system like Fifa 09's PC version. That's why i mentioned in another post that NBA Live 2010's release will be depending on the Fifa 09's PC version and NBA Live 09's NG success.

I can't see how or why it would be different to the Xbox 360/PS3 version, seeing as though that's the version that would likely be ported to the PC. I don't think FIFA's success will have anything to do with it, the plan seems to be to return to the PC starting next year but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

If EA Sports make a NG Port like this Fifa 09 PC example, i'm ready to wait 2 more years and please let them develope a new 2011 version all over the beginning. That's the only thing getting me frustrated for NBA Live 2010 PC title.

Here is the comparison between Fifa 09 PC and NG.
Look at this NG screenshot:

And look at this beautiful, wonderful, amazing, lively, realistic, more than real crowd:

Look at the crowd, UGH !

..

I believe graphics for the PC version are fully adjustable though. They actually need the game to work on mid to lower range machines as well for it to actually sell enough to make any profit. I'm 100% sure the screenshot above isn't on max detail. Besides, I don't care that much about the way it looks, how it plays is what really matters to me.

Hopefully EA takes time and their hard work to really put together a get package for next year.

So long as the game is coming from the latest generation of consoles, I reckon the results will be pleasing. Not perfect, but far better than the recent PC releases.

Here's a list of platforms which NBA Live '09 will be on:

Again, notice that there will be no NBA Live '09 game for the PC this year. You're gonna have to wait until next year to play on PC.

According to EA, the actual game developers, it is not even being developed for the PC.

Let me make this clear to everyone.

NBA Live 09 is not being released on the PC, no matter what is stated by video game sites.

Ahh, memories of summer and fall of 2001.

Indeed. Then the cracked copy of NBA Live 2001 with a roster update started making the rounds on peer-to-peer under the title of NBA Live 2002 PC.

Pdub's already stated it emphatically but for anyone who may find similar listings of a PC version of NBA Live 09, please note that EA Sports have repeatedly confirmed that both NBA Live and Madden will not be released on the PC this year. It doesn't make any sense for them to lie about this, there's no way they'd turn away sales by statng they would not be releasing a game on a particular platform then release it anyway. If they were going to be deceptive about this, they wouldn't be giving us bad news.

You may find listings of a PC version on video game websites like IGN or 1up.com and the like. Note that these sections are usually ready made and are often abandoned rather than being taken down so they remain accessible, just to confuse everybody. Oversights happen. Note that IGN still has a section for a PC version of NBA Live 2002, a game that most certainly was not released for the PC.

well that sucks

The silver lining is that it hopefully means the end of the PS2 ports.

Tue Aug 12, 2008 1:39 pm

Actually, based on what they've claimed about the PS2 version, I'm kinda sad we aren't getting it. I'd love to fool around with the DNA.

Tue Aug 12, 2008 1:41 pm

True, assuming it didn't have similar problems to NBA Live 08 it could have been satisfactory.

Tue Aug 12, 2008 4:56 pm

I've mentıoned before and even i've made a poll about it, but, why don't they at least try to be community-oriented like Cities XL example?

So in this empty and sad 1 year, the can give us some litttle gifts. I mean, they can try to release some info about the PC version every 3 weeks or 1 month along with the developent stage.

Different games, different companies, different approach. The NBA Live development team do interact with the community to a certain extent through the producer blogs and their presence in the official Forums, answering questions and the like.

I'm afraid, that's the truth.

Sorry, I don't follow you.

Wed Aug 13, 2008 6:57 pm

I don't want to be bottle-fed information about a game that we will not see for over a year. Besides, it is most likely going to be a port of the 360 version, so it would be like they are giving us information about Live 2010 before 2009 is even released.

nice screen is this the ps3 version?

I don't know if this is true. I went to the EB Games website. I tried to search for NBA Live 2009 and NBA 2k9. When the results came out I saw that NBA 2k9 would be released for the PC. Wow the cost is $19.99. It would be released on October 7.
