Wanna run LIVE on 1600 by 1200 resolution?...

i was just exploring the contents of Live in my settiings folder and i found the config settings file that holds the resolution. it was set at 1280 by 1024 so i decided to up it to 1600 by 1200 just to see what would happen. It worked! and my game looks crispier than ever. i would show you pictures, but i dont know how to take in game pictures. can someone please show/tell me how so i can post pics. by the way the settings folder is in C:\Documents and Settings\......HOME\My Documents\NBA LIVE 2004\cscripts

ok I changed it and saved it, but in the game it still says 1280x1024?
What am I doing wrong?
The first time I did it , the game did look crisper--but it could just be me?

I went and changed the config file to 1600x1200 and went to run the game, and it worked. But i ahve a little problem, whenever i try to run nbalive games(or any other game) on max 16x12 resolution, the screen is huge. I see if its the monitor so i adjust the settings on my monitor, but the screen cuts off normally. Like if i go to pause the game, i can barely see the whole pause screen because it gets cut off due to the HUGEness of the overall screen. Has anyone else ever had this problem, and can anyone help me out?

when you changed it did you save it? In the "details screen" does it say 1600x1200x32? It won't seem to save when i change it--hmmm.

I should point out to you guys that, when you hack the settings to 1600 by 1200 and save it. you CANNOT go into the details screen anymore in Live or the maximum that live allows (which is 1280 by 1024) gets reverted. this is the only draw back to the hack i pointed out. what you should do is play with it, find out your ideal settings on everything else before you set the resolution to 1600 by 1200. cause once you do, you cant open the details menu anymore or it'll revert back

ok--so that's why it kept re-setting?

i altered my setttings to 1600x1200
and then changed them back to 1280x1024 by goin to details because i wanted to change some of the other settings
later i tried changing the settings again but every time it crashes

mines crashes too probably its our monitor cant take it.

no i think once u alter that config file somehow the detail configuration crashes ur computer

i tried to set everything to default but it still crashes.
