Well it is in Spanish but it is clear that Carlos Delfino will leave the NBA.

Bad luck for Detroit who wanted to hire him.

He is a good bench player.

Wish him the best with his new team (in euroleague in 2010 ?)

Actually, Toronto was the last team to have him. Best of luck to him, though I liked him on the team.

Played like an absolute idiot at times... But he could have become a solid rotation player for the Raptors if he continued to show flashes like he did with Toronto.

Detroit was talking to him about returning this offseason. I think that's what he meant.

Sat Jul 19, 2008 6:41 am

What's his reason? is he getting a higher salary from the Russian team?

Sat Jul 19, 2008 6:50 am

I will miss him :-(
He had improved a lot his minutes last season. I also thought he could become an important player in Toronto.

LOL. . .i knew he was going to do that

Sat Jul 19, 2008 1:08 pm

Why? Did he tell you?

detroit reportedly offered 3 years 9mil, the russian team 3 years 30mil

Sat Jul 19, 2008 4:10 pm

I had no idea

Sat Jul 19, 2008 5:12 pm

why would detroit try to get him back after trading him away for Dixon..

Sat Jul 19, 2008 5:19 pm

They traded him for second round picks. They traded Brezec for Dixon.

Sat Jul 19, 2008 5:27 pm

ow. right.. sorry about that.. but why would they try to get him back after trading him away..

Sat Jul 19, 2008 6:02 pm

Because they dont have any good backup swingmen?

Sat Jul 19, 2008 6:56 pm

It would basically be a band-aid for the loss of Jarvis Hayes. Least of their problems though.

Sat Jul 19, 2008 7:07 pm

Here´s translation. Got to say this is surprise for me

Good luck to Delfino in Russia. The Raps are still about 3M under the cap though. Hopefully, BC won't fill the roster up with NBDL players.

i guess he chose to be the sombody of smaller league rather than to stay a nobody of the big league. $13.5 million dollars for 3 years in russia... i gotta admit i'm surprised that russian league substantially can afford players like delfino.

lol @ you believing losing hayes to be a bad thing...
he was shit.

delfino was useless in flips system because flip tried to make him into a jump shooter. curry mightve liked delfino's play style and wanted him back.

I'd say he'll earn more money and have more of an opportunity for quality PT, so it's a good move for him personally and professionally. He'll be 26 next month so he'll still be under 30 when that contract expires, which means he should be good for a few more years in the NBA if he ever chooses to return.

Damn Russian mobs.
Ask Diddy for more info.

If Diddy had that kind of money he'd use it on English lessons.

You'd hope so, but he'd probably blow it on bling-bling.

Or hold a private concert with Craig David and Ne-Yo performing.
