hiring scouts

Fri Jul 04, 2008 1:42 am

Does it really matter to hire scouts with high grades if you want a to draft a good rookie? Do scouts with higher grades get you better rookies?

They don't affect the strength of the draft class, if that's what you mean.

Oh no not the strength of the class, i mean do they scout better players.

E.G A PG has in real an A for stamina.. B.

The better scout will say from B~and B+
And the worser scout will say from C+ till A-

No they don't scout better players, you choose who you want to scout.
Why would they scout better players, if we're talking about the level of the scout.

If you have a good scout, it will tell you more about the player you scouted (e.x. if you scouted a player on Defense, and you have a amazing scout, the scout will also give you info in other fields)

Also, a better scout has more accurate results.

Exactly. So in a sense, better scouts can get you better rookies since it takes fewer scouting trips to put together a full report on them and the report is more accurate but if you wanted to go a bit cheaper on a scout you can still pick up a good rookie.

actually what i like to do is hire the cheapest scout. this is because i usually get 3 highly rated assistance. then i just totally ignore the whole scouting prospective drafts altogether. instead, i would look at the mock draft list and write down the top 10 players being drafted as well as a couple before and after my pick.

i feel that the cpu has a better understanding of which players are most draft worthy. :)

I always have that same thing; I always make sure the assistance is highly rated and then totally lack the scout :-P
