Hopefully Yohance and JoeMimic will be able to provide reviews for the main site as well. For now, I've posted my review of the PS2 version of NBA Live 2004:

Im currently waiting for the PC version, but have been considering getting the PS2 version as well.

That was a great review Andrew. Really has answered alot of questions i had and given me a positive influence in buying the PS2 version a little further down the track.

Thanks

Nice review, Andrew. Although you mentioned default slider settings once or twice in the text you might want to add your exact settings at the bottom though, so people can get an impression which things you tweaked and on what difficulty you played.

does marv say these famous lines?:

- 'here is *enter player surname*' (when he takes a jumpshot)

- 'he is on fire'

That was an outstanding review Andrew and spot on.

That was a great review! It made me very happy to read about all the good things that were mentioned because, after all, Andrew knows best.

Now I'm feeling very optimistic about the game. Should be getting it very soon.

Good review, Andrew (y) It pretty much covered the important aspects of the game. Once I get the PC game, I'll play as much as I can then write a thorough PC review.

I agree 100%, this is one EA SPorts franchise that has been going nowhere but up, where their others like FIFA 2004 have been sucking each successive year, NBA Live has had innovation ontop of innovation, the gameplay is superb, graphics topnotch, excellent commentary and the freestyle is awesome. The game is a classic.

I'm pretty sure he says "He is on fire", though I could be imagining things.

The one thing that is now troubling me about the game is that the players seem larger and the courts seem smaller. Its only become obvious to me just now after a good while of playing the xbox version. The porportions are not at all accurate and players cover too much ground on the court too quickly. Thats both attributed to the size of the court and the way motion is handled in the game. Anyway no gripe really just an observation. i will be sure to add my take on it in the wishlist for next years game.

Solid review as usual Andrew! Will you be doing a pc vs console review as well?

Wed Nov 12, 2003 7:34 pm

I'd say so. Even though Yohance will be doing a review of the PC version, I'll probably do one as well (if only to compare it to the PS2 version).
