I'm surprised EA hasn't done this yet.

Well with retro jerseys on each game and with decade all-star teams, i'm surprised there have never been unlockable full teams. For instance teams like the 95 - 96 Bulls, any Celtic or Laker rosters of the 60s or 80's, and other various memorable teams. I think alternate legendary teams would be a cool thing to freshen up the unlockable section in the NBA Live games.

They would have to acquire (and pay for) the rights to all those players.

Yea I guess, but I kind of like the idea. Theres nothing really to play for in the NBA Live games. Sure dynasty is fun, but all you can unlock are some shoes. I'd atleast like there to be more substance in the unlockables.

Unfortunately, problems with getting the likeness rights for all the necessary players prevents EA from doing this in NBA Live.
