Portland has a backup point guard in Steve Blake and a tall man in Travis Outlaw.

Okay, so. Both are perfectly true statements. Portland needs Greg Oden. They already have a good SG in Roy. Very true.

But what the hell are you talking about?

i thought someone said we shoulda taken durant instead of oden

While you are most likely correct that somebody did say you should have taken Durant instead of Oden, the issue is that nobody said it in this thread.

There is a concept in message boards that I think you have failed to comprehend, and that is that discussions are relevant to the topic at hand (Which is usually clearly stated in the title of the thread that you clicked on to see the part where all the pictures and words are).

I think if you try to remember that in the future, you will do just dandy.

lol is WDF what da fuck?

LOLERZ.
How could you compare one of the if not the greatest center in the NBA to Aldridge and Oden. It's too ridiculous to think that I won't and can't even argue about that one.

Portland really needs a good PG. Jack and Blake are decent but I think they're not enough.
Jack can defend but I don't really see him as a playmaker and he's a below average scorer.
Blake can sometimes run decent plays and shoot but he sucks at D.
Both of them are also inconsistent that they have consecutive games where their shooting percentage is horrible.
That's why we sometimes see games where Roy runs the point.

If they can get a PG that has the good qualities, even a little bit, of those two PGs and shows some consistency, then maybe I'll ride the bandwagon that they can get out of the first round in the tough West.

You forgot the most important part Indy: reading.

For all we know he might be talking to his imaginary friend and didn't read the thread at all thus his post.

I really think he was talking to his imaginary friend that's why
WDF = What? Dumb fuck!, Wait, dumb fuck!, Who? Dumb fuck!, Why? Dumb fuck!
The dumb can also be 'damn'.

Whoa thread mergers.

Blazers have just acquired the 27th pick from New Orleans. It was just for cash aswell.

Blazers are either going to use this to move up the draft.

Wed Jun 25, 2008 4:45 pm

Is that sentance finished?

Wed Jun 25, 2008 8:49 pm

You been reading too many lol cats... now u can't spell!

The Blazers have a shit hot management group who dont mind spending money - and I love it.
The assets theyre stockpiling are gonna help them immensely - how many picks do they have? 6? Plus Lafrentz contract... something big will happen draft day!

Wed Jun 25, 2008 9:25 pm

Portland has been the most interesting team in draft the last 3 years....the Aldridge trade, the Roy trade, the Zach Randolph trade....that doesn't even factor in getting Rodriguez, Fernandez all late in 1st Round....Blazers are good....looking forward to what they have in mind....

Meh, I'm not accusing anyone here of doing this, but I don't understand how people went from making fun of Portland in 2006 for the trades they made, to now... Praising them.

cause everything worked out lol.

Portland played it extremely well tonight too.
I'm predicting them for the playoffs this year.

Fri Jun 27, 2008 4:49 pm

Wow, KP was at it again. Portland wins the draft easily

Sat Jun 28, 2008 4:58 am

Hey do u guys think we got bayless to trade him for a veteran or not?

Sat Jun 28, 2008 5:04 am

no. he'll probably start right next to Roy.

Sat Jun 28, 2008 5:08 am

cool. oden aldridge roy and now hopefully a good bayless

Sat Jun 28, 2008 5:48 am

sounds like we may have a new nba live favorite team lol

Sun Jun 29, 2008 2:06 pm

ugh.... portland is totally loaded with assets.... maybe they're gearing up for a major trade because they have too many young guys who overlap and have yet to be paid.... maybe if things in cleveland don't work out, portland may try a trade for lbj.....

Sun Jun 29, 2008 5:56 pm

Portland don't need LBJ....don't know why his name would even come up....Portland will become the NBA's next great team with balance, which is needed out West....it would be hard to like Portland if they got LBJ....for me at least, that is....

Sun Jun 29, 2008 6:47 pm

Have to agree with The X, If Portland keeps this line up and allows them to develop together where looking at a powerhouse in the West for years.

Sun Jun 29, 2008 7:04 pm

but how are you going to pay aldridge, roy, oden, bayless, webster, outlaw, and all the other guys who have yet to sign extensions?

Sun Jun 29, 2008 7:23 pm

kinokong wrote:but how are you going to pay aldridge, roy, oden, bayless, webster, outlaw, and all the other guys who have yet to sign extensions?

Portland has a billionaire owner who is willing to pay whatever it takes to win (as he did in the late 90's/early 00's with Kemp, Wallace, Sabonis, Stoudamire, Derek Anderson, Bonzi Wells, Brian Grant etc)....except this time, Blazers are going with character guys....the Blazers will exceed luxury tax if necessary to win titles....

Roy is franchise guy....I love his game....Oden & Bayless are rookies, so too early to tell on them....Aldridge, yeah, he should be around for a while....I'm not sold on Martell Webster being around for too much longer....he seems most likely to be traded....I like Outlaw, he makes a solid 6th man backing up the forward positions....

the team will get better with experience....I do like Blake as a stand-in PG until someone else is ready to take the reigns....they got good bigs (Oden, Aldridge, Pryzbilla, although I'm not sold on Frye), they got some really good guards (Roy, Rudy Fernandez & Bayless), solid PG's (Blake, Rodriguez who could develop) & solid 3's (Outlaw & Webster)....so they have makings of a nice team....out West, they still might not be a playoff team next season, but after that, one or two more moves, another good Draft, & they make the jump....they're definitely setting themselves up for a long run as one of top teams in West for years to come....whether it equates to titles is always a big question mark, but they're looking good with Pritchard making the GM decisions....
