PHILADELPHIA 76ERS DYNASTY - Way to the top.

Yet another dynasty by me ? Yes. I've always enjoyed making them and reading them myself, but I hate playing games. This time, I will simulate all games, maybe play some, but there will be no game recaps. Only recaps there will be, are monthly recaps. There will also be Offstage recaps (Behind the scene), News, Press releases and so on. I'll do all that will look good. Also, everytime you read, please, leave a comment, I'd like to see how my dynasty looks like to you. If I get bored, then I'll simply stop again. That's pretty much it, enjoy !

sarella, thanks. I'll go deep into the playoffs with AI's and Webber. Though, I'll see about it. I might do some trades, but unlike Cheecks, I will definetly keep Iverson and Korver. Update coming soon !

airBerlin, Thanks man. :)

Billy King fired, replaced by John Calipari.

Philadelphia, PA - After the 05-06 season, without getting as
far as 76ers wanted, their GM Billy King was fired. Against him, the
76ers quickly found a replacement, John Calipari, who has
coached the NCAA basketball team Memphis Tigers since 2000. John
Calipari will be replaced by Keith Lee, who played for the
University of Memphis and also played in the NBA, for the Chicago
    Bulls
    .

"I already have some plans and ideas in my pocket, but I'm not going
to change something too much, I'll do everything to get us a championship
team." - Calipari said in the interview.

"Many people are surprised by this move, because Calipari has got no
experience as a General Manager, but we believe he'll do good." -
    Maurice Cheeks added.

Calipari was signed to a 3 year contract. As per club policy, terms of the
contract will not be disclosed. . John Calipari is most likely the best coach
in Memphis Tigers team history, and the 76ers believe he can do good in
NBA, as Calipari has been in the staff of NBA before for 4 years, 1 year
as an assistant coach, other 3 years as the head coach. The 76ers
association give him a chance to be successful as an general manager.

Sixers finished with their staff signing.

Philadelphia, PA - Time's almost up, but 76ers were already done signing their staff within the first few days, wasting just 2.86 MIL. The staff is written below.

Asst. Head Coach - Brendan O'Dwyer, 1.52 MIL, 3 years.
    Rumors: A; Development: A-; Leadership: B.

    Assistant - Mario Lukin, 556K, 2 years.
    Offense: D-; Defense: C-; Athletics: A-.
    Speciality: Rebounding*

    Trainer - Phillip Kaiser, 362K, 3 years.
    Grade: C.

    Scout - Augustine Murphy, 420K, 1 year.
    Offense: C; Defense: D-; Athletics: A+.

" We didn't waste too much money on the staff, though we have a very
good asst. coach and also a very good general manager. As you see,
most of our staff's members are skilled at athletics, so that pretty much
tells our plans, we'll run, we'll gun and we'll win. " - Head Coach Maurice
    Cheeks told to the media.

Uh.. weird Staff signings;

Why would you sign a college coach to be your GM? He failed miserably as the Nets Coach 10 years ago, but now he's taking on a job that he has absolutely no experience with?

Also, this may be just me, but the Assistant Head Coach is the staff member I always spend the least amount of money on. It seems he doesn't do anything except research rumors, that aren't even relevant, since even if he thinks a trade is happening between two teams it rarely is. To me, scouting the right players, developing them and making sure they stay healthy is definitely more important for me. Whatever, its your own call.

DustBall, right. :) Thanks.

airBerlin, it really is. :P I will. :)

Chaser7, heh, I don't really care about my staff at all, it doesn't really affect the team too much. He just had a cool name, so I decided to go with him.

And I took Calipari as the GM, because I think he could do that. It's not soooo huge difference between a GM and a coach, and if you have coaching experience, then everyone can make a right decision at GM position. Anyways, thanks man. :)
