Hey, I'm just lookin for advice on which shoes to buy, deciding between nike adidas and reebok, so just gimee some advice :)

P.S. what shoes does rajon rondo wear? they look sick

Fri Jun 20, 2008 5:06 pm

you don't need to make more than one thread about this.

Fri Jun 20, 2008 5:44 pm

Why does everyone have a hard-on for Rondo now?

Fri Jun 20, 2008 5:57 pm

yeah i dont get it either. he sucks balls. whenever i play against them in Live i play my Rondo theory which consists of leaving him open to double everybody else.

trade him instead of Delonte and Delonte would've looked like an all-star next to the big three

In NBA Live ? Aplause.
He didn't miss lot from a quadruple-double in the NBA Finals, and he sucks balls ? C'mon, Earth ! He had 21-8-7-6.

Fri Jun 20, 2008 8:35 pm

Rondo.. Progressive kid.. But still Bynum Rules ;)

Sat Jun 21, 2008 4:28 am

never said I thought he was good :) just like his shoes, he has no jumpshot lol sad :( he has great potential though, you gotta admit, if he could shoot, he'll be fine cuz he cuts to the basket fine

Delonte would've gotten that quadruple double if they kept him.

The only way Rondo will ever get a quad-double is with 10 turnovers.

he has an awesome assist to turnover ratio.... not even 5 turnovers would ever happen.. he just simply needs to get better

Rondo is a cunt, I went to a C's game and wanted to rush the court and punch him. But he came up big and helped bring a championship to Boston.

Sat Jun 21, 2008 10:00 am

Qballer, Delonte never had as good game Rondo had in Finals ! Land on the earth..

lamrock., he had 1 turnover if I'm right. Didn't check.

this thread has me split. first of all i like rondo and he came up big at times for us but on the other hand he sucked up the court for us at times. i am happy we have him instead of west but that just might be cause i hate looking at wests ugly ass face

Sat Jun 21, 2008 10:12 am

So I wasn't the only one that thought Rajon is a cutiepie?

good point.

those couple games at LA in the 1st quarter were fucking horrible... the bleeding only stopped when Rondo was out of the game.

But then at home, he was fantastic in the 1st quarter, and set the scene for the restof the game!

Sat Jun 21, 2008 11:31 am

Rondo looks like a frog, or a fish. Like one of those SpongeBob fishes.

Sat Jun 21, 2008 11:35 am

Rondo is one of those guys who came up big in one game, and sucks the next.

Still, in my opinion he was a good addition to the C's and he definitely played a part in winning the championship.

If he doesn't get injured in the next 3-4 years, I expect to see his numbers rises. All he really need is experience. Winning the final was a good thing to toughen him up.

first of all he's a 2nd year starting pg in the league, which is pretty tough, and no one expected this much out of him anyway, we all knew that he couldn't shoot well, and it'll get better, so will his overall game

Sat Jun 21, 2008 4:20 pm

Isn't this thread supposed to be about what shoes Rondo wears and not how good he plays? :|

Sat Jun 21, 2008 8:35 pm

It was, but that doesn't mean the conversation can't turn to Rondo's play instead.

Rondo did struggle on the road a bit but that's characteristic of a young player who is still developing and honing his game in the pros. His struggles are more forgivable than Gasol's or Odom's, or KG's lacklustre performance in Game 5.

Sat Jun 21, 2008 8:42 pm

People need to lay off a bit on Odom, he had his usual "season" averages during the Finals. Sure he's supposed to step it up in the Finals, but I think a combination of being there for the first time and the Celtics' stifling defense managed to make him a non-factor.

That's all you should expect from Odom, that which he gave the team. Anything more than that...and you're just happy. I think it's safe to say that those flashes of brilliance are just that, flashes. Only because he isn't more assertive, not because he can't do it. But okay, that's his game...

Gasol...well Gasol is a finesse player, sometimes I was also screaming "GET THE FRICKING BALL ALREADY, REBOUND DAMN IT!!"...he's not a very "present" inside. He's there...but only a game here and there will you get an in your face performance. I'm hoping that with Bynum's return (and perhaps some signings) that toughness will be brought to the team. Inside toughness, that's what LA lacked.

Anyways, hindsight is a bitch. :)

Sat Jun 21, 2008 8:48 pm

I tihnk Odom does deserve a lot less criticism than he's been getting.
sure he's part of the "soft" Laker front line that disappeared at times during the finals, but you got Gasol giving up some size to Perkins and Odom giving about the same amount to KG so I think it would've benefited to match up Bynum with Perk and slide everyone else down and move Radman to the bench. they were playing out of position, and it gave the C's an advantage.
