If that's what NLSC Team Members do when they get together, I think I'll avoid partying with you guys.

Although you are trying to be open minded it is actually coming off as incredibly close minded, because you are only willing to discuss things under rules you believe in. And I can see you are trying to explain why you say things, but obviously it's not getting through - you really have to consider your audience.... if you expect compromise, you have to give it.
