Kevin Durant of the Seattle SuperSonics and Al Horford of the Atlanta Hawks headline a talented group of rookies named to the 2007-08 T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie Team, the NBA announced today. Horford, the only player unanimously voted to the 2007-08 T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie Team, finished with 58. Durant, winner of the 2007-08 T-Mobile Rookie of the Year award, received a total of 57 votes.
Rounding out the T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie First Team are Houston’s Luis Scola (53 points), the Los Angeles Clippers Al Thornton (48 points) and Seattle’s Jeff Green (43 points).
The T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie Second Team consists of former D-League player, Jamario Moon of the Toronto Raptors (38), Memphis’ Juan Carlos Navarro (24), Philadelphia’s Thaddeus Young (23), Detroit’s Rodney Stuckey (22) and Houston’s Carl Landry (18).
Horford got more votes then Durant
Nice to see Stuckey and Young here. It's a shame, that Thornton wasn't in the Rookie-Challenge. 4th best vote getter.

Probably the person smart enough to realize that Durant has been garbage almost all season long.

well he did alright to play garbage and win ROTY

Nice to see two Rockets rookies in the list. Landry definitely deserved it. Although Moon should've made it over Green on the first team imo.

It's really nice to see Landry there
He deserved that.

Who would be your choice to replace Durant in the first team?

GREG ODEN!!!!

Durants numbers were good, thus he deserved it. Although he is still far away from playing on a high level of effectiveness imho. Sucks that his team mates are so bad since he is forced to make something happen which leads to his lack of effeciveness.

Forget Durant, how did Jeff Green make it, let alone the first team?
Thu May 15, 2008 11:08 am
He wasn't even in the voting for ROTY
Thu May 15, 2008 11:22 pm
He did average 10.5 points and nearly 5 boards a night. Green that is.
Fri May 16, 2008 8:46 am
And everytime he dunks he is on top 10!

Yeah, but was he one of the five best rookies in the league? Moon and Young both easily outplayed him, for example. Green didn't shoot all that well and turned it over quite a bit.
I'm surprised Yi didn't make it, especially over Landry. He wasn't better than Landry, but his numbers weren't far off from Green's, so I'm mostly surprised he didn't get voted in by the media. Perhaps backlash.

You're surprised he didn't get in over Landry even though you think he wasn't better then Landry? hahah, ookay...

I don't assume the media votes the same way I would.
