It's just a love tap.
Kevin Garnett did much worse on Zaza.

The series is now tied at two. The spurs play extremly well tonight, i hope to see them playing like this on tuesday in new orleans !

Tue May 13, 2008 5:36 am

lmao at that video. shit like that is like a big black eye on the nba, imo anyway

Tue May 13, 2008 9:57 am

all of that was after the whistle had been blown for a foul away from the ball if i remember right.

Wed May 14, 2008 2:45 pm

3-2 Hornets. I picked them to win in six but I'm now inclined to pick the winner to emerge in seven as I feel the Spurs will bounce back at home in Game 6.

Wed May 14, 2008 3:09 pm

I'm gay for Chris Paul. I'll leave it at that...let your imaginations do the rest.

Spurs are going to tied the series at 3 and David West leave the court with an aparentely back injury. Game 7 will be very interesting-

Fri May 16, 2008 3:19 pm

Still very much a toss-up. If West's injury is going to limit him in Game 7 then it's obviously coming at a very inopportune time but the Spurs haven't been themselves in the first three games in New Orleans either. One doesn't necessarily count out the other since the Spurs could certainly take advantage of West's absence but with the exception of the Pistons/Magic series, the story of the second round has been win at home, lose on the road. I'll stick with my original pick of the Hornets but I wouldn't call it a lock.

I'm sick of the fucking Spurs and their flopping bullshit. Come on Stern! Let New Orleans go to the conference finals and have LA beat them instead!

Man, if the Hornets lose, I'm going back to Detroit.

Fri May 16, 2008 4:34 pm

Robert Horry comes through once again.

Fri May 16, 2008 8:07 pm

If the Spurs win Game 7, at last I'd see a 2nd round road victory either than Detroit.

So how many teams will that have been? Hey why don't you just go for every team left and then you can say "hey I was going for them!"

Sat May 17, 2008 9:43 am

So you guys think that Horry deserves a suspension? Or it was just a hard playoff foul?

Sat May 17, 2008 9:53 am

I think it's beyond a suspension. After all Bruce Bowen and Robert Horry has gotten away with in the past, it's getting ridiculous.

Sat May 17, 2008 9:55 am

Agree.
Where's magius? I was hoping he would defend Horry by saying he didn't know what to do with his head and elbows

I'd have to respectfully disagree with Mark Jackson about it being unquestionably just a hard playoff foul. Perhaps the angle is deceiving but it looks like Horry threw himself into West a bit rather than just standing his ground. Maybe it was just bad luck for a guy who's already nursing a bad back but it looks suspicious, especially in light of past incidents.

Whether or not it Horry deserves to be suspended, it's not surprising that the NBA isn't taking any action. Darius Songaila aside, they haven't been quick to hand out suspensions in the Playoffs this year in situations where you'd generally expect them to.

Looks like he was setting a pick to me...I don't think it was a moving pick nor a regular foul, and especially not a flagrant foul.

Sat May 17, 2008 2:17 pm

A leaning pick? With his head down and with his elbows out?

And how about those Spurs fans chanting Horry's name for taking West out. NBA looks a lot more like the WWE everytime.

Yep, that is in fact a pretty effective way to set a pick. :?

You don't set a pick by lowering your shoulder into the middle part of your opponents back. Go back to your stats kthanxbye.

Sat May 17, 2008 4:22 pm

Shoulder into the middle of the back? That seems physically difficult to accomplish and is definitely not what I saw on the video.

What's the difference between what Horry did and a standard pick?

And once again, what is so horrible about statistics?

Sat May 17, 2008 5:10 pm

Nothing is gonna happen, but Horry did it on purpose. Why would he make a pick when the ball was already in the air?

Sat May 17, 2008 5:40 pm

Are you watching the same video I'm watching? The pass is made well after he begins moving into position for the pick, when Ginobili is clearly looking to drive after beating his defender off the dribble, only impeded by West.

Not everything is a large-scale earth shattering conspiracy, especially in the NBA. Everyone sets picks exactly like that a billion times per game.
