Who do you think will win this series? I say Lakers in 6; but I hope the Jazz win.

Lakers in 6. They'll steal one game in Utah, but that's about it. Utah's too good at home.

If the Lakers are gonna get out-rebounded like game 1..they gotta have a tough series against Jazz..
I'll have my stake on Lakers in 6..
Mon May 05, 2008 9:08 am
Oh..Wayne is right.. Jazz takes every single borad on the offensive end

But they didn't took their second chanses and the loose..
I am gettin' lakers in 4 but.. That's 90% impossible.. But I am a Optimist..

I'll say Lakers in 7. Both teams win at home.

Turnovers and poor shooting performance by the Jazz.
Lakers will lock this in in 6 games, but I would love to see Deron and Paul duke it out in the WCF.
Mon May 05, 2008 1:04 pm
It was just poor shooting. Outside of Boozer they actually had a really low turnover game.
Sweeps? 5 games? Are we really going to discount the best offense in the league that easily?
Mon May 05, 2008 1:25 pm
Ill say lakers in 4 (if bynum comes back)
But personally lakers in 6...
Mon May 05, 2008 1:34 pm
Los Angeles in Five.

ITS KOBE! Everyone feels Kobe! Obviously the larger market will win, right?

The Lakers has been able to beat the Jazz even without Gasol. I think it is a match-up thing. Kobe just has the edge over the Jazz.
Mon May 05, 2008 5:45 pm
I say Lakers in 6.

Go Mormons!
Lakers in 7. Even a well run-offense like Utah is no match for the one-man show that is Kobe. Am I sarcastic, maybe yes maybe no.
Tue May 06, 2008 1:46 am
Jazz in 7. Wait and see.

Agreed. Like the Cavaliers last year.
Honestly, even if I'm a big anti-Lakers guy, I really admire how Pau plays with the Lakers. That Gasol trade could've been the factor of the Lakers being at #1 seed in the West.
Jazz in 4.

(like Utah won Game 1)
Either Lakers in 6 or Jazz in 6.

I'd say "is the big factor...". Cause before acquiring Gasol, the Lakers were merely talking about breaking the 50 win mark this season. When Gasol came to LA, suddenly it was talking about gunning for top seed.

I think the Lakers win in 7. Neither team drops a home game.
I expect Boozer to be much better this round than he was last round, given the Lakers frontcourt defense doesn't look all that good.

2-0 Lakers, getting outscored 33-18 in the first quarter certainly did the Jazz no favours. Nevertheless, with the way they've played at home this year there's a good chance they'll be able to knot the series at two games apiece.

Williams was off his game so was Boozer, The Jazz didn't show up till the second half which was too late by then. Kobe played a great game as did Gasol and Lamar. Odom was very strong on the boards. Fisher also was good on Williams again, Farmar kinda let them down though and he was the one who gave up most of the points from Williams. Although one thing i gotta say was the refereeing wasn't that good especially for the Jazz, Utah were getting absolutely no calls when they went inside but the Lakers got everyone of them, if i was a Jazz fan i would be pretty pissed. I'm rooting for the Lakers though this series was the first time ive properly watched them this year and i really found myself to like their team, they will be even better with Bynum and Ariza!!
