Talk about NBA Live 08 here.

Hey, everyone. Not sure if anybody knows this, but I've never seen this info on here before so here goes.
There's a way that if you were to delete a file from your NBA Live 08
(and probably 07) install, that you can replace any file.
I figured this out when I accidentally deleted my nbacam.mgd file. I didn't back it up when trying to convert the 07 nbacam.mgd to 08. Not knowing they're a different format, I simply pasted over it. My game didn't work after that.
But I figured out how to fix it.
In order to replace a file, put your NBA Live 08 cd in the drive. Let's say you deleted what I deleted, your nbacam.mgd file. This file is located in your merlin folder, in your NBA Live 08 folder. Go into My Computer, and right click on your CD drive. Click Explore.
You are now viewing your CD drive. I'm assuming you already have WinRAR installed on your pc, but if not, google WinRAR and download it from the first site that comes up.
You'll notice your CD drive has a few folders and then 74 .cab files (that open in WinRAR) named Group*** (*** for a number, from 003 up to 077). Open one in WinRAR. Notice how the files are named. They're named without an extension, and they have the name of the directory they go into before the actual filename.
Now, to replace your missing nbacam.mgd, open Group054.cab. You'll notice a file merlinNBAcam_mgd. Extract that file to a folder. Rename it to nbacam.mgd, and copy-paste it into your merlin folder. There you go!
