Hey everyone...
I have concluded that my MRA version 0.2 is a total failure...
I can't progress further...I mean...the more I do to the game...the more bugs it created...
However, I found out many new things and figured new things out...
So...I have begun working on 0.3 on a totally new way...
I started yesterday...and it seems okay at the moment.
but at this rate...I will be done when 09 comes out...T.T
anyway... thanks for all
and congrates to Kris for his new aiact...he offered me help...but forgot to reply...

Yes, this is what happens. The more you change, the more you have to correct and rebalance. Even though EA's default AI has flaws, it is still balanced. So what you do when you edit the aiact is unbalance it, once you do that you need to rebalance it. I can't explain specifically, but I can tell you that I started from scratch atleast 10 times last year when doing AIACT updates. Keep to it, start over, and try something different than what you did the first time.
If you are not using the CSV spreadsheet I released in the AIACT tutorial thread, you should really look at it, because the situation part is the most delicate part. The higher the number, the more priority it has over the lower numbers(of other situations) in that same column Like last year, I was trying to fix the point guard driving, so I changed one of the 7's in Fstbrk:Drive:Beat defender to a 4 or something. In-game the point guard would just pull up jumpers from mid range instead of taking it to he rack or passing it. That's because in the same column there was a 5 or a 6 in one of the pull up jumper situations. Since the pull up jumper had a higher number then drive beat defender, it had priority, so the pg did it all the time. Be careful of things like that, though. Lowering it could cause a wide open player to not take a jumpshot if you lowered it too much, etc, etc.

Besides all that thanks for your words man. However, I have used Realistic Roster 4.2 as my base. I have edited many things to change gameplay, when I release my version 0.3, would it be okay to release it? or must I get permission from the creator? I mean, I changed most things, I'm really using his updated team rosters.

Thanks everyone. but listen to this for a sec.
1. I can't log in...it logs out after log in...automatically...and I really have difficulty communicating, and changing my posts..and answering PMs...sorry Kris for that...
2. I don't think I can release it this Saterday as I have asked Albys now for permission to use his materials...sorry for this...
3. Post replying works sometimes but post editing doesn't work which means to change my posts or upload my file, i have to go to pc cafe and do it...so understand my late, weird, messed up response...

oh man... just give him a credit, i'm sure he'll give you that permission but if you finished this 0.3 version just release it ! i thought that you patchers want to make this game better so improving the gameplay is THE MOST IMPORTANT!

I give credit to Albys for his roster work, but also note that I have used it as a base and have edited the roster so that it resembles almost none of its original. If Albys is uncomfortable with it, I will delete this version.

Thanks Sanguango, It would be very nice to have your feedback about the mod...
Also don't forget to use settings.dat, roster and aiact to see what MRA is, if you leave or mix it with other rosters, it will have HUGE imbalance in the game and thus make the game virtually unplayable.

Yes, i give your permission use my RR2 roster for your gameplay patch.
However, i don't think is a good choice modify my roster in search of better gameplay.
I think my Roster and my sliders have a good result, i have spend a lot of time in test.

ok I played 2 games. I like it. speed at 50 was too fast. used 35 game speed. my own sliders with alby's rosters 5 - works perfect with it

i played a few matches
fastbreak bug seems to be 90% fixed. great job.
anyway there is a very low pgdomination i realise that when i play against the cavs, gibson took a lot of shots. i will be playing more games to give a complete feedback

Best gameplay ever. No fast break bug, barely any pg domination. My games were all fairly close..had to raise the cpu block shots and slam dunk/layup defense and had some great games. Will be using it in my dynasty..Thanks for your time and work. It's the only thing that has made this game playable..
