Hey, I was doing some research, looking through the forum, and I was wondering, what exactly are Dstats? It looks like something you can change to produce statitistics for a simulated season or game, but I'm not sure.

Can you change Dstats and get realistic stats throughout the dynasty seasons? Does rating matter? Do you end up getting the same stats for each player regardless of what happens, each and every season, or does it change? If so, by how much?

Any help would be much appreciated...

All the best,

Eugene

Player's stats will always follow Dstats regardless of their ratings.
Really, it's only good for the first couple of seasons b/c these D-stats do not change much (maybe not at all! )

so you will have guys like Shaq averaging 28 ppg with an overall rating of , say 50. On the other hand, once-young players who now have superstar ratings still averaging about 5 ppg.

Note also, that generated rookies do not have d-stats so their stats will be messed up anyway..

with or without, i dont see a way out.... :(
pretty miserable

On a similar note, I noticed the standings in Dynasty mode are messed up too. No team had less than 30 wins or more than 50. There's not that much parity in the NBA. Teams like Phoenix and Detroit missed the playoffs entirely and finished with lesser records than the Cavs.

Also, it appears the Most Improved Player award still goes to a scrub averaging two points per game.

Dynasty mode is completely useless in Live 2004.
