You'll be very short, you'll have to play at a pretty low resolution with most settings to low or medium.
I play Crysis at 1680x1050 and I can't even crank everything to "super high" with my system, I have it all on "high" but with the Natural Mod, which enables some super high features without too much of a hit.
Bottomline is you need an extra gig of ram and mostly a better video card. Well, your CPU will be weak too...so basically you need a new rig mate.

Yes you can play it but on low resolution and all settings on low except physics and maybe the volummetric effects you can set it on high.

mr2ksports, you might as well wait. In the future, you will have a much better system and crysis will be much cheaper and run better. Crysis isn't really an incredible game, not to say it's bad, but it's all about eye candy.

I wouldnt buy Crysis with that system, it just wont be fun to play with the graphic and resolution you will be forced to use. If you want to play Crysis, by a new computer. You can get some pretty good ones for $1000 or so. And i dont think Crysis will be released for any console, its just not possible, and CryTek are working on Crysis 2 at the moment, so...

It's obviously not so much about the story, but the game's visuals are simply unmatched at this point, whether it's on PC or console, and even though it's not a free-roaming game a la Oblivion or STALKER, it still gives you a great amount of freedom to complete your objectives.
If you don't have the dough right now, I'd definitely recommend to wait til you can afford a better system, trust me this game deserves to be played with all the bells and whistles, and it will still look good in 2 or 3 years.
