Your 'career-high' !

Fri Mar 07, 2008 7:36 am

Well, my career high was probably the first game I had probably. We had two games, both 2 x 20 minutes. The first game we tried more defense and to see how it is, and we won 54:18, I scored like 15 and probably had like 3 assists and 3 rebounds, maybe a few steals also, the second game was really, the basket was bigger than the building, we scored them by 72, even though the refs were cheating, the score was 96:24, without refs taking fouls, and we should have actually had atleast 100. That game I dropped like 40.

The game wasn't the best challange, and as I said it was my first game, and I didn't even go to trainings or anything like that, I just liked basketball, as always. The game wasn't so realistic or so, only things they counted was points, no assists or stuff.

Well, that's my 'career high' ;D.

Oh, and also when we played against 3 years older, and like everyone a lot bigger, I dropped.. 9 points, almost 11 but I missed the buzzer with a little less that half second, from 3pt line, falling down with the defender falling on me.
And another game against 1 year older guys, which we won, I only had 1 point, but like 5 assists, including a pass to 'allyoop', just that the catcher didn't actually dunk it, too short, and like 3 steals.

Well I am a PG, and not playing in a team or so yet, looking forward to be there soon.

Anyways, post yours.

Think i have had 20 points or so to go along with 12-13 rebounds and 4-5 assists, and my favorite, 5 blocks 8-) And probably also 3-4 steals

Fri Mar 07, 2008 8:21 am

Career high: 0 points, 0 assists, 0 rebounds, 0 blocks, 0 steals, 1 turnover, 1 foul

All that in about 10 games, back in junior high school team when they didn't have tryouts.

Fri Mar 07, 2008 10:00 am

in the local A grade comp my highest score is 41, when they used to publish the results in the paper, i could have had higher but im very proud of that

Fri Mar 07, 2008 10:39 am

my career high is 40 but i consider it my second best game. my best game was 33 points on 11 of 12 shooting with 0 trips to the line. i went 10 for 10 in the first half and only took 2 shots in the second half as we killed the other team

48 points in a community league playoff game, and 32 points in a high school tournament. Career highs in other categories that were unrecorded, but a pretty good approximation as I remember them: assists: 7, rebounds: 16, blocks: 3, and steals: 7.

Fri Mar 07, 2008 1:09 pm

I've never scored much, so I can't remember. But I'm sure that I got 20+ or even 30+ rebounds once. I've got 10+ blocks a couple times, and about 7 steals once.

Fri Mar 07, 2008 2:59 pm

25 points in the first half, 2 in the 2nd

Fri Mar 07, 2008 9:40 pm

Never a point scorer and but I've had 10 block games and I think my highest actually recorded rebound total was 16.

The thing I was most proud of was in college, blocking a 7 footer, making the national tourney both years I played, and in 1 game getting 8 points, 5 boards and 3 blocks in only 3 minutes of playing time.

in my 7 years career of playing basketball
most points i had like 3 years ago - 35
most blocks in 2005 - 12, was the seasons defence player, also had at the same game 20points, and 12 rebounds
most rebounds like 4 years ago - 23
most 3pt made - 4, usally have only from 0-3, never take more than 5 shots per game
most assists - don't know, could be like 7
most dunks made in year 2005 - 10 dunks
most free throws 13/13 3 years ago!

This seasons records are
28points, 5blocks, 12 rebounds, 2 3pt shots, 8/10 free thorws, 5 assists
but average i get:
12,5ppg, 1,5bpg, 8rpg, 0,75 3ptpg, 3apg

Sat Mar 08, 2008 2:22 am

I have scored more than 18 points in a game, but I would say that my season high was: 4 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists.
10 rebounds are A LOT for me, considering that I play at sg and that I was playing with 18-17 years old boys. (Im 15)

Sat Mar 08, 2008 2:33 am

well i'm a point guard so my high in points was about 15 pts, in assists 16, rebounds ah don't bother to ask haha i could never grab a decent rebound well maybe around 5. i fancy passing the ball rather than scoring anyway. anyway i blown my knee a couple of years ago, my mental side of the game never recovered.

It's because you're too focused on those females with the beanie babies on their heads trying to dance.

Well, I quit the basketball team to play American football (didn't pass the try-outs, though) earlier this season but I played for three years before that.

My career high (points) came my first season, in 2003/2004 (I was twelve and playing against a high-class Under-16 team): 29 points, 7 rebounds (5 offensive), 4 assists. I had like 6 turnovers, though, and we ended up losing. To note that, at 5-7/5-8, I was two inches shorter than the shortest guy on the court and weighed just under 120.

I reckon it wasn't my best game, though. That would be the regional finals in 2006: 15 points, 18 rebounds, 5 blocks, 5 steals and no turnovers. We lost but I was awarded MVP anyway.

That was my best-season average-wise too: 14.9 ppg, 16.7 rpg, 3.8 apg, 2.7 bpg and under 1 to. As Drex, I never was much of a scorer (except when playing in Under-14 lol; I once got 52 points and 25 rebounds there but it really doesn't count since I was playing against 4-10, 90 lbs. kids). I loved to play defense. I never had a season where my points-average was a higher number than my rebounds-average.

Sat Mar 08, 2008 8:46 pm

My career high is 38 points, this was in like 2004 and i was the tallest in my team at the time, i was a monster on the offensive boards and just put them back in.
Assists: 11, we play zone defense like 75% of the time so when we get the rebounds, i get the outlet pass and straight away and BOOM pass it to the guards and lay-up.

Steals: 8

Sat Mar 08, 2008 11:30 pm

4 TO's, 0 points, 0 assists, and still 5, yes 5 high-fives in a game I played witth friends against others in a rec centre. Beat THAT.

Sun Mar 09, 2008 9:07 am

I don't score much because my team is a very Detroit Piston-like team.
Points: 32, Rebounds: 15, Assists: 12, Blocks: 5, Steals: 3
Oh and I'm a Forward-Guard.

Sun Mar 09, 2008 11:05 am

My career high is 100 pts, I have a larger penis than all of you and I've fucked over 3000 women in my career

Wilt Chamberlain?

Is that you?

Sun Mar 09, 2008 7:17 pm

I've never played anything other than rec ball so I believe my career high was when I exploded for 36 points. But I don't find that my best game. My best game was probably when I was dominating everybody and got 18 points, 15 rebounds (7 offensive), 3 blocks, 1 steal, 5 assists.

Tue Mar 11, 2008 8:49 am

I'd say my career high in an organized game of basketball is around 8 or 10 points.

I'm not very good, obviously.

Tue Mar 11, 2008 11:13 am

today i probably shot 4 for 20 or so, it was a pretty fucking bad day. however i post because that is a career high for most misses in 1 day for me lol

Wed Mar 12, 2008 1:12 pm

6 points. Could've been 7 if I made a three point play. We were being blown out by 40... So yeah... I got some extended minutes. :P
