Arena Jukebox is a tool for the whole NBA live Series (especially 07 and 08) which creates more realistic game atmosphere by playing current music and organ sounds during games. The tool acts like a virtual DJ and plays sounds in normal order or randomly with pausing time in between. So now you probably ask, why the hell you need it, because every audio player could do that. Maybe you are right, but Arena Jukebox has some advantages:
Small and simple tool without using much ressources
The pausing time can be adjusted and is then active for your whole gaming session
Special created soundfiles, lists and packages are published so you don't have to search for these files and edit them yourself

Information on sounds.ini
The sounds. ini is the file where the current loaded Arena Jukebox List is saved. It contains the filenames of the wav's in Arena Jukebox programm directory. You can create your own collection using the sounds.ini Editor. This Editor lets you add soundfiles to a new created list or a existing one. After you created one you will find this list in the program directory with name.ajl. This file can be given away if you like to share a list. Arena Jukebox only knows the ajl-files listed in lists.ini. You can add a new list by using the sounds.ini Editor (Add List).
To add files to the list you can make multiple selections.

Changes since last version (0.2)
Fixed some bugs, like double playing the first sound or not even play randomly
Added an option to the main window to simply select a list
Added advanced options. Now you can decide if you want to play sounds randomly or in playlist order
Sounds are now no more repeating. Sounds will get temporary deleted from the playlist until the whole list is empty. Then Arena Jukebox will start automatically from the beginning
You can enable Arena Jukebox to automatically minimize program window after pressed play
The information area at the bottom will now give more detailed information (which sound plays, how long and full playtime)
The sounds.ini Editor now let's you add a bunch of files, so you don't have to add files one after the other one

Changes which will be done soon (next version)
Let you decide which sounds don't get removed from playlist, so that only these are playing to the end of game (for instance organs).
Unique Arena Jukebox Lists for each NBA team with sounds really played on home arenas (part of sound packages will take a lot of time, maybe someone could help me by telling me which sounds are played).

Hint: Increase the Playtime about up to 35 and the Pausing to about 20. The biggest part of the songs included is max 30 seconds long, so they will be faded out. With these values it should also be more realistic.

well...to be honest,it didn`t impress me,but at least it`s better then the original ea arena sound.

I tried it now... Its really great. A volume meter would be perfect..... Or i could just make the songs more quiet.. Just tell me where can i find them!

Well what did you expect? It's only a kind of workaround. There is almost no difference between my Tool and a music player, but what it does, it does
My tool is only great of use, if there are a lot of sound files. Beside of that these files need to be mixed up and need to have a kind of hall to create the right atmosphere.

Hmmm let me think about where to find instrumentals
The rest of the files like the organ music has to be grabbed from Basketball games, i will take care of that tomorow.
Do you have much of sound editing know how? Do you know how to mixup channels and how to create a sweet echo? If you like you could help me

The tracks are saved as wav files in the Arena Jukebox program folder. To change the sounds you have to find and edit sound files on your own or wait for my update pack coming soon.
If you have found a sound file on your own convert it to wav and copy it to the program directory. Then you have to fill in the name of the file into sounds.ini and you are done
Arena Jukebox randomly picks a soundfile from that list and plays it. The more files are in the less repetition of song song will ocur.

+ minimize the repeat factor
+ create better sound files for better atmosphere
+ create more sound files
+ add an option to edit the sounds.ini inside the program

+ try to fix or add suggestions

I know how to create echo. I could make the instrumentals sound like in a basketball arena and make them fade out better.... I will do some tracks.. And post them in a few days.. I Just couldnt find your tracks at first because i extracted them on my fulfilled desktop ... I will do it soon..

Actually, there's one topic before that talks about how to edit the arena music in game. Unfortunately, noone is available to do that.

But you're tool is great. It could be a great substitute on editing the arena music. But I think its better if you guys come up with one package. I mean, its better to increase the number of musics and create a unique one.

the songs are NOT playing in game for me. ea's defaults still play even though i have the jukebox activated it plays but NOT IN GAME. dont it play when you HAVE THE BALL??? plays ramdoml even when you are on defense. is that how it supposed to work?? pleasae let me know

Hey it doesn't only play when you are having the ball. It's not anyway connected to the game, it's simply a seperat program.

Which Windows are you using? Probably Vista, could be, that it isn't working because of Vista's new sound architecture.

Check if you have the latest version of the program in use, because i updatet the program nearly 7 times. You can download the update and the package seperately.
