online problems

Im having problems playing online games against my friend. Before the last update we could play against each other fine. Im not sure if thats the reason. We both have a good connection. The problem is after one of us accepts the challenge we cant pick our team or ready up. Its shows a good connect and we can talk to each other but cant play. please help if possible.
