EA apologizes for screwing gamers

Read it all. The CEO of EA apologizes for its past of buying game developers, disbanding the teams into separate divisions, and thus ruining developers like Origin Systems (Wing Commander).
He shockingly holds out EA Canada as worthy of praise.
I'm still waiting for the apology for NBA Live.

didnt they apologise last year about live 07? then they put it to them to make this years live the best ever?

Those guys should know that it isn't always about the money. . . But the deeper in business you get, I guess you start to care less about what the consumer wants and what's best for business. Good games will always sell.

That's what pissed me off the most about Live 08. They followed a crap year with another crap year, promising up and down that this year was gonna be different and it would be much improved. Every year, they trot out some new feature or whatever (freestyle, improved D, superstar moves, hotspots). Can the bling and just give us fundamentals.

They were most likely talking about the 360 version with their promises. HB Studios didn't really make any promises about the PC version.

I hope, HB studios won't develop the NBA Live 08 this year. (If this happens, likely we will see a next-gen port.)

As far as i know, they have published a new studio. Maybe this will help developing better games.

I wouldn't trust these losers to program Pong. They'd screw up that gameplay somehow.
