Player Lock on Live 08 (PC)?

So I finally 'upgraded' from Live 2005... I won't even get into how disappointing it is to see how badly EA is r*ing the PC crowd...

This is probably an obvious thing, but did they do away with player locking (that is, being locked as one player all game)?

Yeah it was not included in 08.

However, fjccommish figured out how to bring the option back and made a patch for it.

And yea, I've tried the sliders people use... I prefer to play with 12 minute quarters, but that just isn't happening in this game I guess, unless I want to score 180 points a game.

Great job EA, did you idiots playtest this even once? It doesn't take more than a quarter to see how horrid it is...

Last year, i think they had little time and spent it to improve the graphics engine. I hope this year they will have more time to spend on the gameplay and animations and of course cut-scenes.

Strange though. Even with the patch, you can unlock yourself in the game by using direct pass on defense.

You need to download quite a lot of patches to make this piece of crap even playable. Stick to 05, one of the best of the lot

08 does have one relatively redeeming feature, and that is that your teammates do function on their own relatively well when you play with a player lock (as I always do)... Although I'd argue this never should have been an issue int he first place.

I'm down to playing 8 minute quarters, and it's decent, I just wish there was something better out there.
