i would be very greatful if somebody could please make me an icon-like in game when you make a player and it's there insteed of portrait-in size 65x90(same as of those players) and if he would have any time for one of those bars that say like Los Angeles Lakers - News only for news. i would be very greatful. because i am not really good with photoshop and those things. thank you
November 17th 2006, Staples Center - Los Angeles - California. Coming off a 4 day off, Lakers were hosting Chris Bosh and the Toronto Raptors. Who started the season 4 and 4.
"Jason, Jason", "yeah", "so what's with all the bad shooting lately, you're shooting only 34% from the field - your worst FG% of your whole career" asked our reporter Carl Henderson. Kidd said "the ball just doesn't go in does it, but i'm also scoring more than past 2 years am i". "Well that's true" Carl said. "I belive i'll make a rhythm later in the season and get those numbers up." "Gotta run now".
Bynum got the ball for the Lakers. It went in Kidd's hands, who stopped and pulled up a shot that went in. He ran back to defense looking at Henderson and smileing. First quarter ended pretty close. Lakers had a 3 point lead with 21 to 18. Odom showed us some amaizing post moves in the first. he finished the quarter with 10 points.
2nd period wasn't that close. Lakers oh i'm sorry Kobe dominated to make sure he'll be able to rest more in the second half. He scored 19 of his 28 points in the first half. If it weren't for Kapono's three pointer at the half time buzzer Lakers lead would be even bigger than 12 points. As they were going to the locker rooms Henderson stepped to Kidd and just said him "still shooting bad" and Kidd almost killed him with his eyes.
Lakers started 2nd half with small line up of Farmar, Fisher, Vujacic,Odom and Brown. Raptors made some defensive stops (Ford-5 steals) and started the quarter with a 6 and 0 run. Jackson took a time out with 10 minutes on the clock and Lakers 18-3 run started at that point. Lakers won the 3rd quarter for 10 points at the end.
The game was already decided going in the 4th quarter, so Jackson putted his 12th man rotation in the game. But the Raptors left their starting five in the game. And it paied off. They started scoring a lot. But Lakers were scoring just enough to keep the comanding lead. Leading the way for the Raptors was CB4 who scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. At the end score was 107 - 98 in the favor of the Lakers.
Best Laker at the end of the game was Kobe Bryant who finished with 28pts, 3rbs and 8ast. He also won the Player of the Game award.
Sweet finish by Kobe.

It would be hard (in need of .dbf editing also) to do that. He dealt all the guys that were to go to Memphis for Kidd.If he pulled it off somehow though, a starting 5 of Kidd, Kobe, Odom, Pau and Bynum would be one of the best in history.
I'll probably try to send some offers for Pau. But i don't know if i can get him because Kidd-Bryant-Odom all have very big contracts already. I would probably have to send Brown and Fisher who are the only guys left with a pretty big contract. But i don't know if they would accept it. Maybe i'll try to send Odom. We'll see.

Nice dynasty! Doing well BTW, I would do that trade. But if you really want more cap room,
Trade one of your high contract players to the Bobcats.
Offer for someone with a contract below 1M. Then release him.
If possible since you are playing on PC, I would DBF edit to undo the J-Kidd trade and then do the Pau Gasol trade. It'd be nice to see the real lakers play, but its up to you though!
Skillmatic - nah i don't really want cap space. i'm already deep in - cap. so it doesn't matter. oh and thanks for tuning in my dynasty.
Chaser7 - i could maybe do this. but i don't know how to trade players with DBF editing and i would need some advices.
Lamrock93 - how could i send them 2-3 first rounders? can i send my next years picks. or do you mean i would give them some other teams 1st round picks.
Well, I don't know how to DBF edit either, I've never had a PC, so you'd have to ask around. There are plenty of people here on the forum who know how, so its definitely possible. Anyways keep up the good work.
If you follow through with the Gasol trade and it works out..
You have one hell of a team right there!
Kobe, Kidd, Gasol, Odom, Bynum.
You need more Young Guns though!
November 19th 2006, Staples Center - Los Angeles - California. This was fourth of five straight home games. And opponents were Chicago Bulls, who started the season exactly the same as the Lakers - 7-2.
"Here's the general manager of the Los Angeles Lakers - Earvin Johnson" said Henderson as Johnson was standing next to him. "It's plesure to be here Carl," said Earvin. "So Magic we have seen drastic changes here around, are you pleased with the team now." "Of course i'm pleased with this team, they're looking great, on a 5 game winning streak now, of course i am. But second of all i would like to say that there's probably coming one last piece to this puzzle that will put us on the very top of the league." "And who is this piece?" Henderson asked. "I wouldn't like to give any names right now, but lets just say it's going to be a big man that can score in the paint, grab rebound and pass well." "Thank you for your answers. Now let's go watch the game."
The game started. Bulls got the ball, it went in Hinrich hands. He passed it to Gordon, but that pass was intercepted by TrevorAriza who finished the fast break with a beautiful one handed jam. Ariza finished the quarter as the best Laker. He had 9 points, 3 assists, a steal and a block. The quarter finished very tied. Lots of credits goes to Gordon and Ty Thomas who finished the quarter - Ben with 3 steals and Ty with 6 boards.
Bulls pushed the tempo in the second. And putted themselves into the lead. Hinrich, Gordon, Thomas and Wallace were stopping Kobe, Kidd and Lamar well on defense, while Deng was just scoring on Ariza and Luke. Luol Deng finished first half with 19 of his 27 points while Kirk and Ben each scored 8. Leading Laker was Lamar Odom with 11 points and 8 rebounds.
Lakers started the second half very bravely. They regain themselves the lead only 4 minutes into the third quarter. Kobe stepped up big. Playing great defense on Gordon and scoring a lot on offense. He finished the quarter with 10 points, 3 rebounds and dimes and 2 steals to go along with a block. Lakers third point guard Jordan Farmar also played very well in the third. He scored 8 of his 12 ponits in this period. Lakers finished the quarter with a ten point lead.
Last, fourth quarter was one of the highest scoring quarters that i have ever seen. Both teams together scored 91 points. It was running and gunning and gunning. Almost every shot attempt went in. First the Bulls have climbed back and got themselves a 2 point lead. Than Phil Jackson took time out and Lakers were bombing the Bulls from beyond the arc. Lakers have hitted 14 three pointers in the game and still shooting 50%. At the end Lakers pulled away and had a safe finish.
Player of the game was Lamar Odom with 17 points, 2 assists, a steal and amaizing 18 rebounds.
That's how you start a game.

Lakers lands Gasol in a trade that stunned the world
November 20th 2006, Los Angeles - California. Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies have compleated a deal that send power forward/center Pau Gasol in Los Angeles.
Lakers GM Earvin Johnson have told us that he was trying to get Gasol, from the moment he became the GM. He said that Gasol is the piece that puts the Lakers on the very top of the league right along with teams like Detroit Pistons and Phoenix Suns.
So the Lakers have got Pau Gasol, but lets take a look who did they gave up to get him. Lakers have sended center Kwame Brown, rookie point guard out of Georgia Tech Javaris Crittenton, draft rights to Pau's brother Marc Gasol and two 1st round picks that they've had for some time. Lakers will probably most miss Crittenton, who was predicted as the future of this dynasty along with Andrew Bynum. Fans surtenly won't miss Kwame, but coach Jackson might, because he was pretty good defender.
Pau will first play on Friday 24th November @ Jazz. Because the trade will be official on Wednesday 22nd November.
November 21st 2006, Staples Center - Los Angeles - California. 5th and the last game of the Lakers 5 game home streak. Their opponents were LA Clippers, their town rivals.
"Here with me is Los Angeles Clippers head coach Mike Dunleavy" said Henderson. "Hi, Carl". "Coach Mike your opponents are cross town rivals LA Lakers, who started this season with 8 wins and only 2 losses. What is your strategy?" "Well we'll go to this game as any other one and we'll see what can we get. If there shows any opportunity for a win, we'll try to take it. But i think this is the game when Lakers are the weakest, they still don't have Gasol but at the same time they doesn't have Brown and Javaris anymore, so we might have some chances." "Thank you coach let's see the game now."
Bynum got the jumpball versus Kaman, Fisher ran up the floor passed it to Lamar for an open 15 footer. Lamar Odom had a really poor game, he only scored 6 points and grabed 6 rebound and had 3 dimes. 1st quarter was close as the whole game. Clippers took a slight advantage in the first. With Maggette's three pointer at the buzzer, they took a 3 point lead going into the second.
Lakers bench played incredibly well in the second and showed starters how to play game of pro basketball. Ledding the way was Luke Walton who scored ninteen of his twenty-eight points in the first half. Folowing his steps were veteran PJ Brown and back up shooting guard Sasha Vujacic. Both together scored 24 points. Brown also had team high in assists-7. Lakers won the quarter with 27 - 25, but Clippers still had a one point lead going to the locker rooms.
Lakers continued what they've started in the second quarter. They've scored twelve points in the first four minutes, while Clippers had only 3. When Kobe hitted the three pointer(his only out of five) Dunleavy took time out and sent Chris Kaman back into the game. He established the game back. He hitted some low post shoots of the offensive rebounds and made some defensive stops, including this nasty rejection on Ronny Turiaf.Lakers went to the final quarter with only four point advantage.
Lakers have started the fourth quarter with the line up of Bynum, Brown,Walton, Bryant and Vujacic, because the bench have played much better than the starters. Lakers bench have scored 61 points in the whole game, while the starters have only 42. Clippers took a 6 point lead with only 2 minutes to go, but than Bynum blocked Mobley's lay-up attempt and on the other end Bryant have made a shot and got fouled-he hitted the extra free throw. Than the Clippers have lost another possesion. Walton hitted the game tieing three pointer with 7 seconds to go, but Sam Cassell has hitted a game winning three pointer over Kobe Bryant to win the game for Los Angeles Clippers.
Our player of the game is The Hero for the Clippers Sam Cassell who finished the game with 25pts, 4rbs, 9ast, 1stl and 1 block.
Rta wrote:man great season you have 3 player very good but were kidd?
i sended him back to New Jearsey because i tought a line up of Kidd-Bryant-Odom and Gasol would be just to strong. and i wanted to have something close to a real team of Lakers.
So there's no Kidd anymore.
November 24th 2006, EnergySolutions Arena - Salt Lake City - Utah. Los Angeles Lakers went out on one game road trip, after 5 home games. They went in Salt Lake City to face short handed Utah Jazz, who were missing Deron Williams because of sprained ankle.
"Here with me is standing new Los Angeles Lakers 7 foot tall power forward - Pau Gasol" Henderson said. "How do you feel about getting traded to the Lakers Pau?". "Well it shocked me like everybody else did, but the Grizzlies weren't actuly the team i could hope to win a champions with, so i'm pleased to be a part of Lakers" Gasol said. "And how far do you think you will go this season?" Carl said. "I can see us in the NBA finals, we even have a lot of chances to win a ring." "Thanks Pau and good luck on the game." "Thank you," Pau said.
Jazz got themselves the ball first, Jason Hart(who was a sub for injured Williams) passed the ball to Boozer and he scored 2 points. This was one of Hart's 13 assists in the game. Than ball went in Kobe's hands he was doubled by Collins, Kobe passed it to wide open Gasol who slamed it in. With Giricek's 35 foot three pointer at the end of the quarter, Jazz took a one point lead going in second.
Lakers took a small lead in the begining of the second period. LamarOdom, 6'10", power forward out of Rhode Island showed himself very well in this quarter. He scored twelve of his seventeen points in this period. On the other side Andrei Kirilenko showed why he is considerd one of the best all around players in the league (He finished game with 19 points, 11 rebound and game high 4 steals). Lakers finished the first half with a three point lead.
Lakers pushed the tempo in the third. They were playing great defense and allowed the Jazz only fourteen points in this quarter of the game. Pau Gasol showed why he is a great addition to this team. He scored 12 points and had 7 rebounds and 3 blocks in the third quarter. Gasol led the team in all catagories except in steals. He was only one rebound away from his career high - 18. You can already see he loves to play on this team. Good job Pau.
Lakers started the fourth period with a 12 point lead and the were playing with their second unit of Farmar-Vujacic-Ariza-Brown and Turiaf. The Jazz tried to come back, they actually came back to 4 points at the end as you can see. But at that time the game was already a lock for the Lakers. As we can be very happy for great play of Pau Gasol, but we may worry about Kobe Bryant who has a torn ligament in his right pinkie finger and we can see it in his shooting(3-14), but he said he won't go on a surgery till the end of the season eacuse the team needs him.
The player of the game is nobody else than Pau Gasol with 25 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 blocks and a steal.
And we're going to see plenty more of this later in the season.
