Why are people spending so much time on rosters patch?

We have new roster patch like every week! Why are people spending so much time on roster patch when time should be allocated to fixing the substitution and sim engine? If these two aren't resolve, the roster patch is just a waste.

i doubt that the people working on the roster patch would be looking after sub and sim engines, and besides, its like a 2 minute job to add a recent trade to a roster and upload it, and especially around the trade deadline. why the hate?

I see where you're coming from but I think you're doing a disservice to the people who make roster updates there. It's not as though we can snap our fingers and magically make those other issues disappear; as you can see from what various members of the community have been doing, there's been mixed results in attempting to fix the problems you mentioned.

The demand is still there for roster updates, so they are being made. Also, these days roster updates usually attempt to address problems as best we can without an official patch and enhance the gameplay wherever possible so those of us doing rosters are hardly being lazy or disregarding or downplaying gameplay issues.
