fshx tool questions..pls help

im new to patching..hope to get some help from you guys

what is the blue overlay on the fsh file when i open it with fshx? why dont have it when i import my edited fsh file? I noticed that this blue overlay has the sweat effect...how do i get it?

The blue overlay is the alpha channel. The alpha channel effects the lighting for jerseys and cyberfaces. Save your file as a DDS file that includes an alpha channel. I used DXT3 for the few jerseys that I made. You may have to load an alpha from an existing jersey file and save it to your image. I don't make cyberfaces so I don't know about cyberface alphas. You probably need to make a greyscale image from your source and save that as an alpha. Maybe a cyberface maker can correct me or add to this.

Bassman58 is right. The easiest way is to desaturate the cyberface and paste it in the alpha channel. To get the sweat effect, you can try to make your own by drawing black lines on the desaturated image before (or after, if you want) you paste it in the alpha channel. You can also use my pre-made sweat alphas that I released here.

thanks u guys...but im alittle confused since u all know im a nubie..do we have tutorials showing how to desaturate and adding to alpha channel? again, i paste the desaturated image over the alpha channel? sorry, im quite slow today...but thanks for the efforts...cheers

thanks thanks man...im practicing right now...just trying to get the hang of it...im using cerv's video tutorial and doing bargnani coz he looks ugly in my game even after adding the patch i got from 4thqtr..hope i get this right...
