my first impressions of the game so far

Ok first off, i love the new camera view, i think it's called press box, that looks awesome and yes the new things in gameplay u can do are very good. The AI is ALOT and I mean ALOT better. they double team you and set picks and everything, that's the good part of it. The bad part of the game is it looks almost identical to last years models and even the moves haven't changed much. There are some new moves, but overall it's about the same as last year. To tell you the truth, i'm really dissapointed in EA's effort this year. Once again they are gonna get trampled on by espn basketball. I can't wait until that game comes out next week. This game stepped up their game about a 2 on a scale from 1 to 10 from last year and they needed to step it up about a 8 or 9 in order to compete. Trust me guys, when espn nba basketball comes out and u compare the two, it's gonna make EA look stupid because most of the guys dont even look like they do in real life. They all look like a cartoon version of them, and that might be fun for little kids, but i'm 26 and expect better in my sports games from EA, especially after madden 2004 was so good this year. Oh well, it's back to the drawing board for EA again. Basically it's like this, if you like last year's live, you'll like this years because it's the same game, just with some added features, but if you disliked the game totally last year, don't bother buying this game at all!

Don't know what you're talking about. The gameplay is completely different and looks different. Dynasty Mode looks like a major bust but the gameplay is completely different.

Who cares if you're 26? Do you think we are all a bunch of kids or something?

Your contradicting yourself. First you say the AI is a lot better in caps even and that the new things in gameplay are very good. However you go on to say " Basically it's like this, if you like last year's live, you'll like this years because it's the same game, just with some added features, but if you disliked the game totally last year, don't bother buying this game at all". From what ive read and from most impressions the gamplay is leaps and bounds above last years gameplay. You seem to not be too sure. Maybe Live was never really your style and you would rather have lead passes than off the ball screens.

I believe he he would rate the imprvements a 1/10. I don't mind caricature like graphics as long as you can tell the players apart. IU think 2K4 tries to hard and the people look fake. EA knows they are'nt at REALISTIC level yet so they don't try to fake it. A good lookin cartoon is better then a bad looking real life person

after playing the game for about 2 hours now i have grown a little fonder of it because of the little things that they added. Players now lean in and out to block shots and to shoot shots, they also dive for the ball and stuff like that. But i still can't get over how cartoony they look. I can never tell who everyone is until there is a replay. Hey i guess i finally found out what EA's hidden secret about the game that they never released was.....it was that they haven't even touched the player models at all, they look exactly the same, suprise!!! :) :) :)
