FX 5500

Who plays Live 08 with Nvidia Geforce FX 5500 also? I wanna ask if you're also experiencing some lags in the game even not in full details.. Mine really lags if I play with Lighting On and resolution 1024x768 which usually does not in Live 07..

I also experience the same lags. After the 1st quarter was finished, the NBA LIVE 08 will game will exited and there's a DONT SEND and SEND ERROR report in Microsoft. I had the same video card Nvidia Geforce FX 5500. We need help on this. We appreciate it. Thank you!

I'm using the same card as yours but I only experience a slight amount of lag. I'm using a modified nVidia driver from OmegaDrivers.net.

1024x768 at max settings = playable (with decent amount of lag)

Specs:
AthlonXP 1500+ Palomino @ 1333 MHz, 266 MHz bus speed
2x256 MB DDR, generic, 266 MHz FSB
Inno3D nVidia GeForce FX5500 256MB 128Bit
200 GB Seagate PATA 7200 RPM

I have this card also. (Got it for $27 off ebay) I never get any lag. i do have a gig of ram and a 2.4 ghz p4. i would suggest you get the intel application accelerator from intel if u have a intel-based processor. It will speed things up. Also more ram and getting rid of some of those xp services.

nickdollahz,

Say this one because its cheap $50 and The only GPU in its class to support Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0 Shader Model 3.0 that shader thing is important for instance I bought GRAW2 or Ghost recon 2 and it is black and doesnt work unless you have 3.0 so maybe other games need it 2
Also remember you have a AGP slot not a PCI-E it can be confusing

I would buy this but my mobo only supports agp 4x. Live runs good with the increased resolution. Although maxing the AF and AA makes it lag. Plus my gpu is overclocked out of box. I also cant see a difference with AA or AF maxed.

The extra money for a X1650GT or PRO would be the better option IMO:

I always thought a nvida card were best for ea sports games. Also perform better

they are..

and they still will...

I have a GeForce FX 5500 overclocked...
P4 3.2
1 gig ram..
on Max settings...

can play on 30 fps...

if I enable the ENB series mod, it goes around 15-19 fps...

but still decent to play...

you should usually clean your computer, inside and out, and defrag at least once a month, I use Puran Defrag...
it should help boost a little fps and your computer...
