Various patches-RELEASE 1.31Final-roster,250sigshts,andother

Guys, found out something regarding the crash bug some of us are having. it's somewhat related to the settings included in the patches.

i think the settings.dat is a unique file specific for the user's computer more specifically the video card. found this out when i tried using the settings inlcuded in the patch. the game loaded and ran into all the game menus but when i tried playing, the game crashed. re-tried playing again but the same thing happened. tried playing using my original settings and the game ran well.

what group did you find the original detail settings in?

jlit: made a back-up copy of my original settings located in my saves folder before i installed the settings included in the patch. when the crash bug occured i just reverted to my orig settings.

its always important to make back up copies of whatever data you may overwrite so if in case something goes wrong, you have something to revert back to.

if the crash bug still occurs, try re-installing your game with a FRESH sgsm folder then do the following:

1. install the required patches (ILT, 1x or 2x shoes patch and IRPT roster)
2. install the 1.2 / 1.21 roster patch
3. install ONLY THESE FIRST
4. try running the game

if the game plays ok without the crashes, then add all the other patches you want ONE BY ONE so you could test wether the last patch you installed made your game crash or not. if it crashed, then the last patch you put in has errors in it or has conflicts with your current set-up so it would be wise if you would avoid installing it further.

this is what i did for my system and it helped me play with the patch without errors or crashes.

This can help me with the upcoming PBA Live 08. . .

I removed all tat files and was able to play 2 NBA teams at Easports stadium but when I try to play 5on5 with 2 NBA team on NBA court it crashes during the players layups, not even a jump ball LOL. I am using 2x courts and 2x jerseys with babeyei 4.0 lighting patch, any suggestions?

why when I start new dynasty ratings of players automatic change and players.dbf of 750 kb become 440 kb automaticly and ratings of players change why anyone help me

Same thing is happening to me and the worst thing about it is Vince Carter has rating 75 so does RJefferson.

2 versions one with dark court (needs different lighting file which is included) and a lighter version (so you don't need to change lighting file all the time)..

This works also with 1 on 1.

Here is release of roster 1.2 -

-kris's gameplay act 1.32
-some small slider changes
-coaches pack included
-new chicago coach in sgsm folder and coaches.dbf,
-slight change on kobe sig shot, new sigshot for Eddy Curry and new ray allen gtm
-other little changes here and there with the roster
-fixed two more players that would cause crash
-give Iverson back freestyle scorer.
-Batch file included, to use sigshots for another roster. Recommend albys for playing national teams. You don't need to use batch file if you use my roster.
-fixed sigshots for allstars
-new lighting file a bit darker ambient light and shadows
-maek1.3 fatigue fix included as option, if you use 9-10 min quarters you might prefer mine. If you use 3,4, 5 6 7 8 11 12 etc etc then Maek's will be better. Especially reccomend Maek's if you use dynasty.

i guess you can install the settings along with the patch

you only need to adjust the screen resolution.. not too high

just about 800x600 settings will do

where is the release for the sigshot?

I did install the tattoos from the optional foulder into the sgsm file. Since I am using Loagoa's courts and 2x jerseys could possibly be causing the crash when trying to play 5on5, I though I read somewhere that this maybe a known issue.

I can say that everything I have released is on the edge of crashing or not. What I mean is it's close to the limit of what is allowed before it will crash. We can only have so much high res files. This is why 1xrealshoespatch is so important, and also why my cyberfaces are always 1x. I have tried to leave a little gap and if you have realshoes1x, lagoas courts, and 2xarms and tattoos it won't crash, but I can definately say that 2xjerseys will push it over the edge. I would say either remove the 2xtattoos and arms or remove the 2x jerseys. It's bad that there is this limit by EA.

For crashes related to settings file, I think it says this in the readme in the sliders folder but basiaclly before you run the game you need to go into detail settings and set the resolution and lighting. If you have a video card that doesn't support lighting it might also cause crash. This is 2008, if your video card doesn't support lighting you need a new video card. Ones that were very good a year or two ago are dirt cheap now.

Uhh ohh Kobe vs Lebron

Overall rating is just my opinion, but it's a meaningless number and doesn't affect gameplay just trades and things. I have 2 yahoo fantasy leagues and I have Lebron as my 1st round pick on one team and Kobe on the other. They are 20 player leagues. I update the lineups daily and so I see there stats after every game. I am happy I picked Lebron but sometimes wish I hadn't picked Kobe. That's what my opinion is based off, but everyone will have a different idea on overall ratings and we will all never agree.

For the ratings in the game it's not my opinion it's based off ratings machine to be fair. My opinion only matters for overall ratings. Opinions can be argued but numbers can't.

Fatigue, primacy and OAW aren't used from ratings machine only the other ratings.

This error was my mistake because I changed LeBrons allstar instead of his Cleveland. It has now been fixed.

Sorry about this dynasty issue but I don't know how to fix. I have never used dynasty, and it's a really complicated thing and I've never tried to understand it all. All I can say is use Albys or Andrews roster for dynasty and if you want sigshots, you can use batchfile. Sorry that dynasty can't be better.

There will be some good surprises with GTM and some other surprises. I will also post instructions for how to do the new shots, fakes, sigshots and GTM because they get a bit complicated. I hope people can read the instructions and not complain that they can't do them without reading. Here is a preview of Jwill behind the back fake to layup..
