i honestly didnt find 2 girls 1 cup that bad. its horrible and disgusting and all, but i read all these forums sayin it was impossible to watch then i went and watched the whole thing myself with no worries

The Chris Benoit tragedy would definitely be the most recent news that shocked me. I first found out about it not long after I arrived in New York for the community event last year, after I'd settled in my hotel room and was channel surfing and it only became more shocking as more details came out about it. I also remember logging onto WWF.com the day after Owen Hart died and being quite shocked, in part because there was no mention of the accident that caused his death. The deaths of Steve Irwin and Peter Brock within a few days of one another has to rank up there as well.
