I believe the pre-season is in Live 2004. Not 100% sure though, Andrew?

hmm, that would be cool to have...
like just 20% of the seats are filled. the game is a bit more relaxed and 'fun' to play.

but there won't be any in 2004 though... :|

Pre-seasons are pretty worthless but I'd like to see one though. They might be fun to play, especially with a 20 man roster.

The off-season looks the same from Live 2003, except that they added a training camp this year.

I don't really think preseason games are important at all. The games don't count and I find it too distracting when I want to start the season right away.

Why not just play exhibition games as preseason games? That's what i do, to get the feel of the team.

Thats what they say in an exhibition game or 'Play Now' on the menu. Every basketball game says that its preseason when you play an exhibition.

Old school fool, your sig is way to big. Mine is too but not by much.

Agreed, (Y)

But I thought they were goin' to add more things... Seems like they only did add some cut-scenes and a task list which rewards some things you do... I thought more was on the way.

But yeah, if the gameplay is kickass, no complaint here (Y)

Preseason is important in basketball, because if you draft a young PG or C, you want to try him out to see if he's worthy of playing time. You don't want to waste 5 games into the season just to find out the guy you drafted sucks. That should have been figured out before the season started.

larry bird - you can still do that with exhibition games. That's more or less why they're there.

You can't do them with a players you drafted in the middle of a franchise though which is his point. Of course you can use base teams in exhibition then choose a Dynasty. But not at the beginning of a second season with new generated rookies.

In basketball I think it's especially important to have a preseason, since you can only suite up 12 guys to play (and 2-3 of those bunch barely get any minutes). You need to know who works well for you. Maybe you sign an aging free agent, and you want to see if he's still got some skills left, or you want to see if your 7 foot, second round pick can at least bang around under the basket and grab a few rebounds. Or maybe you think one of your bench players is ready to crack the top 5, but you want to see how he fits first. Obviously this would be for franchise mode, and I personally don't think players should improve from preseason though. In madden (which i don't like anymore anyway) it was too easy to greatly improve players in the preseason just by getting them the ball every play. Plus, in Madden, players ratings jump around all over the place. I just want to see how my new guys fit with my team, with my system, and see how good they are.

They really need to put College Courts in the game... :D

I just hope you can play on other courts with the teams court design (Example: Lakers vs Cavs you Play at Pepsi Center and the Denver court will still be there)

They also need to do this with Madden...becuase NFL2K3 and NBA2K3 have i tright

No offense, but I don't think too many people could care less about playing on a court that wasn't the home teams. I don't really see a point in doing this whatsoever. Maybe I'm wrong and there is a demand for it, but I doubt it.
