where the hell did my PIVOT MOVE go?! *PLEASE READ*

hey guys, i think the pivot move in NBA Live 08 is gone.


it's the move that occurs whenever you hold the Crossover/Spin Move button right after you receive a pass.
it allows you to make jab steps( like the one Tim Duncan always does after he faces the basket before he shoots his Signature Bank Shot) and it also allows you to make quick first steps to blow past a defender right after a fake...


i just think that the gameplay would be better if you guys are able to put it back in the game. Specially now that we have Signature Shots/Go To Moves and better post moves from the backdown and prohop combination...


i really hope that you can do something about this because it will definitely make the gameplay better especially when it comes to post moves.



one more thing, have you guys made a patch that improves the simulation engine?
'cause, i am playing with 5 Minutes per game quarters in my dynasty mode, and when i simulate the games, the starters will play 18-19 minutes a game while only one or two bench players will be able to play for only a minute each...

anyway,that's all...
and i really hope you make something about this...

yea i think it is gone..or did ea make a stupid mistake and have a bug..is there a fix for this?

try to communicate with clydeli and ignatus they might help you out with this

you can't do the pivot move holding the crossover and spin move, but you CAN do it using freestyle, and this year you can use it with keyboard, just take a look at keyboard configuration and you will see the four keys to perform the freestyle moves

i tried what you told me a while ago...

you were correct...
there are freestyle controls using the keyboard...
it was the letters U,J,H,and K respectively...
the instructions said that you need to press the Crossover/Spin move button and these buttons to perform freestyle moves...

the big problem is it is not working...
i tried it for a whole game,and i even tried to do it in 1 on 1 and individual practice but they all resulted in one thing...
the player just kept dribbling the ball between his legs...
still,there is no freestyle move or my much loved PIVOT MOVE...

i know this is too much to ask from you,but can you figure out the solution to this problem?
it would be good if that simple yet effective move could be used in the game again...
i am just telling you this in behalf of a lot of gamers that would definitely love to use that function again...

this does not only go out for ignatus(whom i thank so much for responding to this problem), but for all the great patchers out there that we all respect...
i hope we can help each other out to make this game better...
i know we would all benefit from it if we would be able to solve this glitch...

the player has to be still and not dribbling. Believe me, I can do this movement you only have to press the fresstyle button and no one else, because it will cause the player to move

finally i figured out how to execute the pivot move...
it actually worked...

when i was using my own configuration,i cannot execute the move but when i changed it to the default keyboard configuration,it worked...
i tried to change my configuration that it would match the default one,but it still did not execute the move...

oh well,i guess i just have to accept that i can't use the pivot move that often...
but at least i know it is still there and EA did not make a mistake about it...

uhm...one final thing,if you can put the previous configuration where it would execute the pivot move when you hold the crossover/spin move buton,please do so...
but that is only when you have time...

anyway some other genius patcher would be able to do that...
i know you're too busy with your project...

so to wrap things up, the pivot move is not missing...
its just so damn hard to execute using the keyboard...

you can always make a pivot move all the time bro just hold still and press the freestyle button and dont press the directional buttons..

And how to do the 'jab step'??

try to press the one of this following keys for about 2 seconds
