Just a thought guys... I remember reading something from the old NBA07 days where a certain Chris23 (not sure?) studied the simeng.txt file and found out that it had something to do with how the "team stats" worked out in the simulations... Maybe there's a co-relation between the simeng.bin and simeng.txt that maybe we're overlooking?

Btw, at the guys who know how... how do you figure out in the hex editor that those values correspond to the attributes you want to edit/modify? Maybe I can help out if I can understand how the hexeditor works.

Basically change a value in the hex editor, go into nba live, load a dynasty, sim the scheudle or part of it, and compare the stats. Repeat until you notice a change. Tedious trial and error, but it get's results.

Do you guys also have an issue with stars or starters not getting 30+mins of playing time, can this be fixed with HEX? i think if it can the stats would also reflect that change?

I'm also getting this and it's quite annoying... Simming a dynasty with the Pacers, made a nice 8-man rotation, and it isn't functional, 'cause all the reserves play making guys like O'neal play 30 mins., and Dunleavy Jr. 25.
Hope you can fix this!!

Not really. It's quite hard to get all good results (RPG, PPG, Steals, Blocks and Assists) into the bin file...
As i posted above, I got it to work with better Assist Simulation.
but then it's hard to get all the other things to real statistics..
I'll try to work on this but I think we should request a patch from ea, becuase the are the only one's who could fix this completely!

I really hope EA releases a patch and fix this sim engine issues. If not I don’t think I will buy Live at all. I bought Live for the PC since 2001.
Better yet I hope Kraudi and the guys can make a fix for this. But good job on your previous fixes all of you.

look at bryants stats in particular
the sim engine was really good for some parts but the turnovers seem to be trhe biggest problem

I would like to help but i don't know how to read the simeng file.
I downloaded the hex workshop and i made some tests but i have no clue of what i am doing.

Also, this thread should be sticked. Ea is going to do shit about the sim engine and it really needs some improvement.

It isn't a problem to Patch the Engine to get realistic Stats in e.g Rebounds or Assists.
The main problem is, to get realistic stats in ALL the categories at all.
I worked 1 hour on this again today, but I did not get any perfect result....
Very frustrating....
