What do i need to start patching? Been patching since 99

Hey guys,
I have been pathcing since 99, i am running Vista and I need to know how can i edit players fsh? Mainly i want to make faces and edit hairstyles, but FSHX isnt working for me on Vista. Could someone please tell me what I need to get? Thanks in advance!

If FshX isn't working, then there's not much you can do 
You might just make the faces as bitmaps and then ask someone else to import them to .fsh files.
