NBA Live 08 for PC - shift+delete

Yea you can not move your selected player in free throws it's so annoying and..



Live 07 had this bug, the exit button doesn't show up right corner. You gotta close the game via task manager.

EA again screwed it up no doubt! and personally I don't care that the graphics haven't changed very much, because the patchers out here can fix most of the stuff!

BUT...what is really outrageous is that no new animations were put into the game! I mean come on man patchers here cannot make new animations into the game---->the game still plays shit...! The lack of effort and willingness were finally revealed! It's just bad that there are guys out there who buy this product with hopes and everything!

I find that the alleyoop button works for last man back, and the back down button works for closest defender to ball (and holding it seems to activate some weird automatic defense...) hope that helps.

The only way to view hotspots, at least to my knowledge, is either through the menu. It's really hard to remember all of the players hotspots, I'm shocked that they didn't include a button so you can view the hotspots on demand.

You can Hold Down R3 and view them in game and if you missed this how much of this rant is really true did you take the time to see if there was a button or view your manual

There is one "Star" Player on every Team. I played a Season. First game against the Cavs -> LeBron alway got the Ball from the PG and ended up in 58 Points
Hawks -> Jow Johnson got the Ball every time from the PG --> 61 Points

Johnson ended up in around 70% FG

I don't know but that is absolutely the worst Gameplay EA ever created!

I just played this game for the last 5 hours, and I just got more annoyed every minute I played this game. I agree with some of your posts and some are such plain stupid, but most of them have already been cleared up.

I can somehow relate to that, even though no player dropped more than 40 on me, there is nothing you can do (difficulty: allstar) when the cpu is within 15 feet, you can try to throw 2 or 3 guys at him and it still doesn't matter, he makes about 90% of his shots from that area on the other it's quite difficult for you the make a bucket if there is even 1 guy on you.

Even if you play good D and contest shots the opposing team somehow still end up with a shooting percentage of about 60% for the game.

Which brings me to my major question, does anyone of the guys who were involved in this game even watch the nba?

1.) The rosters and player ratings, ... guess what my first response was?
Are you frikking kidding me and major disbelieve.

Let's for example take the Lakers roster:
Kobe Bryant 97 ... I'm okay with that
Lamar Odom 85 ... say what? no way he should be rated above 80
to keep this short, my second best player with a rating of 81 is javaris crittenton a number 19th pick of this years draft.
and most of the other players have the same rating as they did last year, even though some of them showed a lot of improvment

after this I thought okay forget it till the roster patch comes out and try the FIBA mode.
I thought that you'd get at least current rosters in this mod since they played during july/august, (and don't improve during the offseason) Imagine my surprise when there was no jkidd and KB, but other players who didn't even play this year.

2)The gameplay

At first I was actually impressed by some the new features, but then again major disbelief, there are only about 10 different players in the league who can blow drive down the lane blow by defenders and slam it down. It's just pretty annoying if a noname player who is barley able to dunk in reality does it almost all the time

I could go on and on, but I just needed to blow up some steam, to be calm again and give it another try with the roster update.

I really can't wait until the first patches are out for this game, otherwise this game would have been a waste of money.

but i started playing live 08 in the middle of class for the first time and it comes up with "Roster is up to date as of July 26th, 2007" and I snapped
whole class was like WTF?
If they weren't fixing the roster in the time of roster cut-off and the release of the game, then WHAT THE HELL WAS EA DOING?!?

hehe the cutoff date was on my birthday ... and thats a very bad thing

Well, looking at the database files on the dvd, the most recent date was August 2nd for the players.dbf file, like it really means anything.

Well, im playing live 08 right now , and its a pretty good game .

Im serious , its more like " team play " because the open shoots are really effective , and now you cant go with kobe and just dunk it against the another team xP

Anyway , i want to know how to enable that " hot spots " things , i mean when im playing.

Thanks for that tidbit. The game has improved in certain areas, but I'll forever be nostalgic about the days of Live '05 like most of the masses. I too, feel equal parts of "HATRED" for this current incarnation, taking out online play only justifies many of our decisions, to do what we do.
