NBA Live 08 - PC: MAJOR BUG

2ND TIME IT CRASHES AFTER END OF FIRST QUARTER......NO TIME OUT TAKEN IT MUST BE THE TRANSITION SHIT WHO THEY SPEND MORE TIME ADDING COMMERCIALS THEN BETATESTING OR WHAT ???
oops sorry for caps...just 3 rd crash out of 4 games

I can confirm that the bug is on the legal copy too...

i found a patch for it!
play 12 min quarter and dont lead the pc by too much so hopefully pc dont call for time out

And finally i've got the point... EA wants to makes us more intelligent with finding out solutions and making some brain excercises... They are really nice people

well after 3 attemps at 2 min quarter i tried that dumb solution n quitted the game myself after jordan fouled out in the end of the 2nd quarter of 12 min...and multiple pc time outs... so if u wanna play more than 2 min u might wanna try that...

i've sent a bug report to EA Sports about the time-out/end of quarter crashing.

I'll be keeping you guys&girls up to date about a possible fix.

And i think that bug CAN be fixed. We have some amazing patchers here so the hope is not gone yet.

damn...i didn't even start having this problem until i read this thread..lol, i used to be able to play a whole game, and now the funny part is now i can't...geez EA...maybe u should re-release Live 07 and just tape "08" over the logo.

I know how to not crash that shit. Atleast in the time-out situation. So, when the CPU calls a time-out as soon as you see the text(that says Time-Out Lakers for example) in your right part of the screen and hear the sirens press Pause/Esc, ASAP! This prevents from playing the animation and crashing!

i would try to quickly tap the pass button to skip the cutsences on timeouts and beat the crash bug?

Yeah, you have to press the escape key and enter the game's menu as soon as you hear a timeout being called. This way the game will not crash. So it might be the cutscenes. You can disable them? Becuase I haven't looked for that option.

Alternatively, you can just select the CPU's side at the beginning of the game, use up all their timeouts, jump back to your team and play.

even if it is the cut scenes, there's no way to disable them....even if u set them to off in the camera settings, it doesnt save and when u go back to check it is still set to on......we need a patch asap

This game has a big bug because I cannot find Penny Hardaway in the game

haha just boot up live 98 to find penny, and it has better graphics

I replaced the files in the scripter directory with the ones from 07, and it doesn't crash anymore. Of course this probably take the animations back to those from 07.... but at least we can play games, right?

Edit: Damn, it still crashes on end of quarter.

You can't expect a company that develops a game in different platforms let the newer one suffer. And besides, it's just a game.
