Ok what do you think to improve nba live?

I think Nba live could include a playable offseason training of the Dynasty mode. This could be in the forms of playing one-on-one, free throw shooting and/or some other specific tasks, maybe going through some 'plays' or tutorials that teach individual players new moves that could be used in the actual game which makes sense for their ratings to improve aswell.

More fiba national teams like Croatia(6th on Eurobasket and in the qualifications for Beijing 2008), lithuania(3rd on Eurobasket), Russia(winners on eurobasket), Puerto Rico, Brasil, Canada!

It's likely we'll see more national teams in future Lives, at least that's what was suggested by one of the producer blogs. The FIBA license was signed late in the proceedings so what we see in NBA Live 08 has been described as "giving us a taste" of future plans.

1) Multiplayer Dynasty
2) Save During The Offseason
3) Save a game and come back to it later
4) have all the rookies and not just part of them (for example no Mike Conley Jr or Joakim Noah
5) Expansion Mode maybe within year 5 of dynasty and you get an offer to GM that team if you choose to
6) better generated rookies meaning not a bunch of 6'1" SG. I can live with one or a few but a whole gob of them in a draft or even each draft is insane
7) Preseason Mode ( where you pick which 15 players to have and then have others to send down)
8) Trading on Draft Night
9) Trading More Than 3 Players
10) Trading for Future Draft Picks
11) Listing the First and Last Name of Players In ESPN MOCK DRAFT instead of showing something like (R.Gordon)
12) Draft List - Meaning that from the 1st season til the last season it shows a complete Draft List from each round for each team

I think we'd all like that, but that depends on the cutoff dates which are regulated by the NBA themselves, not EA Sports.

I AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE
its ridiculous why can't we trade on draft night like in the madden? And we should be able to trade future draft picks, and be able to trade more than 3 players/picks and be able to do 3 team deals... the cutoff dates are becoming earlier and earlier they used to be like late august, and the game would still be released early october...
Preason mode would be tight and a better offseason too... also sign and trade deals...

I've been playing the NBA Live series since NBA Live 95 and having had the opportunity to meet with the producers, I've also been able to ask questions about certain issues (such as the cutoff dates and inclusion of certain Legends).

After only 2 days of playing here is a little list

- direct ip mode : chat function at team select...more important to talk at team select than at jersey select! + put chat back beetween quarter and during pause as it seems to have vanished somewhere with the great block animation from FSS

- possibility for direct ip to load the host loaded roster...like in all past nba lives

- a rebounder or team mate in practice mode...

- all 50,60,70,80,90 's legends to appear in legend pool at signup player ... so no need to dbf edit to have legends in regular teams...

- allstar teams in online mode ??? stop making us work for nothing when it seems obvious u can do it for us

- another request ignored for many years by nba live producers : controller friendly interface like in nhl ???

- better normal shot blocking...the defensive player hands it up as he jumps...but then hand not often not in the direction of the ball...

- the great block animation from FSS that pdub's ai act improved to perfection

- hotspots should only appear to the player who uses it...its annoying while playing defense

- make arena annoucer use speech id last and first name

- make first name speech id after all most first names can be found as last names...so marv and announcer can actually say MICHAEL JORDAN !

- separate dunk and lay up again...give us more control !

- create players = where is the dunk/lay up pack selections with preview???a pain in the ass to try them all in db commander... and the same thing could be done with existing sig shots...

- legends hot spots ??? lazy programers!

- woaw they finaly added dive function (already here in psp live 07) but in 08 pc players seem to dive just to dive lol not to actually catch the ball...improve that maybe ?

- cameras with no dead angles

- shooting freethrows with right analog like in 07

probably taking time for nothing...since the list goes on and on each year... and nothing we ask seems to end up in the game

EA as usual takes 2 steps foward with some new features or improvements...but unfortunatly 5 steps backwards with changes or disapearances of stuff we like...

we should be able to control the entire league like in madden and play as multiple teams or every team. we should be able to make trades for every team, including cpu teams (this should be an option you can turn on and off) that way when there is a big trade in the middle of the season and you arent playing as either team, you can still make sure that trade happens. this will make the game more true to the real nba season.

an option to control the outcome of cpu controlled games would be cool. pick who wins and who loses. so you can make the season go exactly as the real nba season does.

also the superstar feature (madden) would be a great add. you select any player in the league, rookie or vet and play through the remainder of their career.. but only as that player. think "permanent player lock". you only play as that one guy. if you are on the bench, the game sims until you come back in. you may find yourself yelling "put me in coach!" i think nba the life has a great idea... but its poorly executed imo. nba live could do it so much better.

what else would be cool is after a couple years of franchise play, legends start showing up in the draft. so instead of generic players... you could draft magic or bird.... even jordan. perhaps each draft class could be the draft class from a particular year. who wouldnt want to be able to do the 84 draft? all the legendary players reborn... you know you want it. and even if you dont you could toggle it on and off at the beginning of franchise play.

another idea. can we please edit rookies drafted during a franchise? names, college, height, weight, ratings, appearance? again, this would add to realism

basicly i want complete control. if madden can do it, why cant nba live?

oh yeah, please add the numbers back to the sliders.

the point is, after a few years of a dynasty none of the rosters are up to date anyways. when you draft rookies, you draft no name people. say its nba live 09, you are in year 4 of your dynasty and the upcoming rookie class is full of legends. i think this would be more interesting than playing 20 years with generic players. you pick of nba live 2010 the following year and your rosters are up to date. after the first year of a dynasty its all a fantasy anyways because the following year's rosters are not set. why not do something to keep it interesting?

yeee having larry bird or MJ being reborn and being able to draft them would make up to date rosters and stuff useless, but every once in a while there should be legendary draft classes like 96 or 03 or legendary players that a team could draft like LeBron or MJ caliber player declaring for the draft because most of teh generated drafts by EA suck adn they reach and overall of 85-90 at most and have lopsided ratings like 5 quickness and 90 speed and stuff like that

I also thought of another thing why not an NBA comparison that way it could also possibly in later years of the dynasty could help you who to possible draft.

1) a good aiact file with realistic moves(why don`t they just copy that file from playstation to pc version???)

2) superstar mode like in madden nfl

3) jersey animation like the one in 2k8

4) new dribble moves

5) new lay-ups and dunks

6) new passes

7) remove that walking through the other players

8) remove dunking through the backboard(make that a miss)

9) improved stats(not having 50 ppg,or something like that)

10) more international teams

11) undrafted players in free agents

12) improved courts and arenas

13) bring back that urban court

14) better crowd(so they don`t look like they are flat) and crowd animation

15) better sound of the rim

16) fix the problem that ball sometimes goes through the player,or through the player s` hand

17) make more difference between sprint and normal running

18) when you call some play that player rise his hand and shoving some number or pointing on his shorts or jersey

I will preffer in NBA 09 easier controls in Slam Dunk Contest because is really inpossible to do some dunks...I think in NBA 2K8 its better

The controls are already pretty simple in my opinion, though I haven't played 2K8 so I can't comment on the difference. Of course, if you're using a keyboard with the PC version I imagine the Dunk Contest wouldn't be a whole lot of fun.

Does EA actually read this wishlist?

They do, though nothing is guaranteed to make the game. However, past Wishlist items that have made the games and when I've met the producers they've actually mentioned items from the Wishlist and things we've talked about here in the Forum so while I understand a lot of people's frustration and apathy towards doing the Wishlists, I still feel it's a worthwhile endeavour. Basically, it doesn't hurt to try. When we send in a Wishlist, we're letting our opinions be known so the ball's in EA's court. If we say nothing, there's no chance of our feedback being useful.

Basically, I'm happy with live 06. There are just a few additions I'd like to see:

- in game save: I play 12 minute quarters, so a full game eats up about 1 1/2 hours. I don't always have that much time. Why not bring it back? We had it in live 2000.

- menus: Either use the higher resolution on PC or make the menus gamepad-sensitive. That is just EA being lazy.

- more trades: in 06, there are too few trades. Employ a better trading AI.

- don't erase free agents: Why are many (bad) free agents erased after I start a dynasty? The only ones the game keeps are those who can't be signed for the minimum. But these players can't be signed since every team is over the cap.

- generating rookies: the height problem. Also, the names are not really random. Every single time I get a Mr. 'Julian Vuu' somewhere in my draft class. The name database is big enough. Just use it!

- player progress: we had such a nice graph that showed us player progress in live 2000. It's not THAT hard to program. Hell, I could do it!

- fix the comeback code

- make sliders actually do something.

- let users choose between the t-meter and the right analog method

- give users control over the point of release on their shots back. I still can't figure out why they made that decision in '08...


That is all. I don't need shiny graphics when the gameplay sucks.
