The Homework Help Thread

Fri Oct 12, 2007 3:06 pm

I'm sure some people(or just me) need help on their homework and I saw some of those SAT scores you guys got so lend a hand over here. :D

I currently need help on math....
Line 1 and Line 2 are parallel if and only if m1=m2(or the slopes)
The "only if" part is equivalent to: If m1 does not equal m2, then Line 1 and Line 2 are not parallel. Show that if m1 does not equal m2, then the equations Line 1: y=m1x+b1 and Line 2: y=m2x+b2 have a common solution. :?: :?: :?: :?:

Is this a derivation of some sort? Because if it is, they really have a "common solution."

m=(y-b)/x

We lied.
Now stop being lazy and do your own homework.
