It is not changing your avatar. It is touching your profile in any way. The profile edit pages are broken.

I thought I'd located the source of the misery involving signatures but that doesn't seem to be the case. We're still looking for it, which means at times you might see the old design as we switch back and forth, seeing what works and tracking down what's different.

Guys,the signature box in my profile also disappered!I'm experiencing Jackal's problem too.It happened before i was on vacation.My sig and sig box disappeared,then after i came back my sig appeared already.Really Strange.Now,it's occuring again!

Like benji said, if you touch your profile in any way than your sig goes *poof* due to it not even being an option right now. Very strange.

Same problem here. Went to remove my canceled dynasty from my sig...but the sig option had disappeared. And check it out, my sig still shows up!?

Maybe because you didn't edit your profile that's why you still have your sig.

You prolly accidentally just erased/overwritten the code on the .tpl file you were using Andrew. Try to relocate the code from a backup file (I'm sure you have one) and then copy it to the current one.
It's probably the profile_add_body.tpl one.
