Roster cut off?

what date is the roster cut off usually??
i noticed in the demo the Cavs roster was very thin..

that's because Pavlovic & Varejao are still free agents and were not included on the team.

i realise there free agents..(and still are as of today) but will those guys be in the game still?? even in the free agent pool???

I think those guys will be still in the game because EA doesn't remove players unless those people sign on other leagues.

The cutoff was probably like August 1st.

I'm inclined to guess early August at the latest as well.

I'd doubt it very much.

I have been playing the pc version for the last 12 years. This year i will buy the xbox 360 version. Will ea sports release rosters for the console versions or are there other alternative ways to download rosters or do i have to make the transactions by myself? Thanx.

Im not sure about that since I have a PS3, but NBA 2K7 had downloadable rosters so I'd be suprised if Live 07 didn't.

I have NBA 2K7 for the Xbox 360 so i know they have downloadable rosters
but i would love to know from somebody who has Live 07 if ea sports has downloadable rosters too. I know Nhl is having them but i don't know about Live.

Downloadable roster updates were available for the Xbox 360 version last year but the last one that was released was back in January.

Thanks Andrew. As long as they release rosters for Live 08 it's ok. If they quit making rosters after january it's fine. I will do the latest transactions till the tradedeadline myself if they don't release rosters anymore after that.

I'd say they'll release a couple of updates again this year as well.
