Just curious if you guys have pre-ordered a copy of 08 yet.

I had a 15 dollar coupon from EA for my birthday and I used that yesterday towards the 360 version.

And last week I traded in Gears of War for 25 bucks at EB and did some spedcial "You get extra if you put it towards a game" deal so I have the PC version of Live coming to me for 10 buckaroos.

Considering I'll only get the PC version, I'll wait for some reviews first, before I'll waste 50 euros on a Live '07 roster update.

I have not pre-ordered the game yet. Like a few others, I am waiting for some reviews for the PC version (from places like IGN and Gamespot and you guys) before deciding whether or not to buy the game.

I definitely haven't pre-ordered it, as I haven't pre-ordered 2k8 either....I haven't been happy with Live the last 2 years, & 2k7 didn't impress that much....these days, I always just wait for reviews, unless it is a really big title....

I preordered the PC version in May with my $15 dollar off birthday coupon, then I tried to cancel it and change the order to the 360 version since I have one now. EA changed the way their member accounts work or something, and I could no longer get into my ea store account to cancel the order. I thought about it, and since I can't move my coupon over to the 360 version, nor can I cancel it without using customer support, I'm giving the PC version one more chance, especially since I can edit the crap out of it now.

I don't think there's any reason to pre-order, it's not like live 08 will be flying off the shelves (I don't see 2k8 flying off the shelves either). I can stop at any game place around here and pick up a copy no problem on release day.

Also, live 08 is a dangerous game to pre-order.

I almost pre-ordered last year, but decided against it given the ridiculous delivery costs....what a mistake that would of been. This year, deffinately no pre-order....it'll be on shelves on realease day.

After i bought the 07 PC pile of shit, i think im going to wait. Seriously i felt robbed paying 40 bucks for that junk. Ea has really lost me in the series. I dont know if i can trust them anymore.

Yeah. I understand you, maybe is better a Live 07 roster update of 07-08 season than the new game.

I'd wait Nba 2k8, than choose if buy Live 07 or 2k8 (for Xbox360)

sup j bro, well right now, with all the gr8 work done for 07, im still having fun playing that, i prob will get live 08 before it, becomes a hard to find item like 07 did. ill wait tho, check my review sources for it, because honestly, im one of the few holding out hope that atleast gameplay wise they fix somethings and it turns out like madden 08 did, very good game for (pc) that is.,if it does ill be in the 08 bunch club to, but if not ill still be with 08-07 :cool:

Infact, why would you ever preorder any game? It's like those idiots preordering Madden. Swing by Wal-Mart and pick up one of a billion copies they will have. The only justified copy of Madden to preorder was the Xbox (not 360) one as EA stupidly believed the Xbox didn't still have twelve million owners.

From the demos posted it looks like PG domination was not fixed, and that the AI being far too gullible for the pump fake is back.

so with the deals i got, I am now paying 50 bucks instead of 100. the 360 demo to me was a blast, some slider tweaking is all it really needs.

As for the PC version, we know how to "cure" PG domination and all other AI issues so why does it matter if I preorder or not?
