The highlight of the D.C. vacation I'm on now will hopefully be seeing D.C. United beat the L.A. Galaxy to a pulp tomorrow night. Although I guess it'd be nice to see David Beckham play for 10-20 minutes.
No but seriously it's hot as a mother here.

Nice Joe, very nice indeed. Can't say I'm too fond of the Black Beach, kind of reminds me of something some of that oozing blob'ish thing would use in a Power Ranger movie.
Nah, I like my beaches white. We have a beach here in Holland, not too far from where I live, but I've vowed never to enter that water. I'd be degrading Curacao if I ever did that.
Was it sunny all the time and how's the tempreture to where you went? Thanks for the share too.

Is that God?
No Joe'. Why would he appear to you, get this through your thick skull: god doesn't love you.
The black beach
Do you really have to show your racist overtone by referring to the beach as "black".

Fuck damnation, man! Fuck redemption! We are God's unwanted children? So be it!

Let me take this opportunity to speak for Joe..."The African American Beach".

LOL "The African American Beach"
Anyway, there were lots of white beaches there too, but they were small, always full of people and not nearly as calm as the beach in the first pictures (which was nearly two kilometres long and 250 metres wide).
I found the black beach to be a very nice and calm place (the two times I went there it was fully empty. Although I didn't swim there because the waves were huge) too and the water was the cleanest and most beautiful I've seen since I went to Aruba.
The sand is black because of the numerous eruptions of the volcanoes located on the islands (including one that lasted for six full years!) if you were wondering.
The weather was nice in Lanzarote, although most of the times the sky was filled with light clouds. I was surprised it didn't rain for the twelve whole days I've been there though.
In the morning it is actually pretty cold, I'd dare to say lower than 10°C but then at about ten o'clock the temperature dramatically goes up to 25-30°C and it can reach up to 35°C at 1-2 PM. The best time of the day is the afternoon. The temperature is perfect (it's just a bit lower than 25°C), the wind is calm but consistent, just how I like it, and there are barely any clouds in the sky.
Another important weather factor in Lanzarote is the wind. It is always present. And it blows like crazy during the morning and the night.
Oh, and the thing I like the most: 0% humidity. No humidity in the air whatsoever. It's great. I felt like shit when I got off the plane here in Milan with all this humidity.
Here's some pics of the "Caucasian beaches":

And here's the island of La Graciosa as seen from Mirador del Rio:

Damn...I wish I went on a sweet vacation. I went up north to my cottage, which don't get me wrong is really fun, but we do it all the time. And as of now, I'm stuck at college...

The beach looks nice and refreshing.

Now you're stereotyping.
The beach pics look really nice and calming, like Jackal's sig.
I see you also like to take pics of cloud formations, I do that too.

And I thought I vent to a nice place for my vacation.
0% humidity has to be one of the best things to experience. I remember the humidity was very bad in Milan when I visited it.
Hehe , to bad the pics are so small. If they were bigger I would probably make the " Is that God " pic as my wallpaper.

Click on the pic.

It's still pretty small, I resized the pics to 640x480 because otherwise the ImageShack toolbar takes forever to upload them.
Here're the full-size pictures, Pera (click on the thumbnails):

I love cloud formations. I took very nice pictures of clouds from the plane (some night shots too that were amazing) but I can't seem to find them.

Those are really awesome Joe, I might just make that second one my wallpaper as well.
Mon Aug 27, 2007 5:11 am
Thanks, Joe . It looks awesome as a wallpaper
.
And yes Kool Moe Dee I did click , but the resolution was too small .

Nice pictures! A couple of them reminded me of Thailand. I can't imagine what zero humidity must feel like, but that's awesome.
That one is definitely a Simpsons cloud!
